Hi everybody. I started a (hopefully) "viral" website, with all sorts of offbeat news and pictures. I hope to make money with Adsense, but I'll need a lot of traffic. One problem: I'm not too satisfied with my domain name. I think it's going to be tough to brand and market.

I only have about 10 posts. It's set up on Wordpress. At this point, what would be the best way to rename it? Should I just start over with a new domain?

I don't think there are any backlinks, and I doubt that SEO is going to be a huge factor for this site anyway. Still, I don't want to get duplicate content penalties.

I'm new to this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Domain names don't matter like they used to. It's the content that attracts the traffic.

Of course if there is a HUGE disconnect between the name and the type of article you are posting you might want to pick a more appropriate URL

See, what can you do - first of all (Down your website) Upload that 10 content into your new website after google deindex your old website. Till then upload fresh content into your new website.

Suppose - you have deindex or down your website today then after few days or 15 days, you will not have result in google archieved as well. In these 15 days, put fresh content into your new website.

After that put that old content into your new website. As you haven't done SEO, you can go for new website or start your work again because for bigger level, you must have name with your own brand where no one can beat you.

Hope it works... Best of luck
