This is better than craigslist?

So I don't know if anyone here on the forum is utilizing this, but
I freaking love it.

I've been making a few extra bucks online by utilizing Facebook Groups...

...But not the usual Facebook Groups.

I'm talking about Virtual Garage Sale Groups. They're usually closed groups
that you can apply to for membership.

Once you're in, you can post all your stuff for sale and upload pics, just like
Craigslist.

Just do a search on FB for Your City + Virtual Garage Sale

Now I live in a town of about 88k and we have about 8-9 groups ranging
in the thousands for members.

Here's why I love it.

It's instant (sometimes they have to get checked by a mod) I love the fact that
I can post something for sale and chat right there in the comment area with
potential customers. I think it's awesome.

No awkward emails or text messages from complete strangers behind a
Craigslist email.

How about you guys? Anyone using these FB groups?

Never heard of those but these seem like a goldmine for people who are into reselling stuff. I'll look into it...

I've sold several items in my local FB group. Great way to get rid of all the extra junk sitting around. As they say, "One man's junk is another man's treasure".

Exactly! But I do see a ton of money to be made for someone that's
      into buying and selling laptops/ipads/desktops.

I have to admit, my mother is actually the person that told me about this

I have seen many fb groups that people sells online . But seen very less people interacting with them to purchase some thing from there postings.
Some larger groups might be useful to do this type of things. So that you may get 1 or 2 customers from thousands of fb users.

Are those groups virtual garage sales?

Every VGS I've seen has a very active community.
