Re-purposing Existing Content ie Articles to Video - Help

Hi guys, I hear a lot of people talking about the power of syndication by re-purposing your existing content and reusing it in different forms. (On your own site/network not on other peoples.)

I have written some good articles for my auto-responder sequence - my question is where can I reuse them without having to worry about a visitor seeing the same content twice?

(Or is this just a given risk that a small percentage of people will end up seeing the same stuff twice?)

For example I can take the article from my email sequence and get made into a youtube whiteboard video - but isn't there a danger that the same person might see it twice if they go youtube video>my site>opt in>receive email exactly the same as youtube video.

I realize I could change it slightly but the gurus I have been listening to seem to imply that you don’t have to change it all and can reuse ‘as is’ - but just changing the format.

In short:

How can I reuse articles in my newsletter sequence without the danger of people seeing it twice.
Regarding re-purposing content in general - the same question - how do ensure that people don’t see the same thing twice (and is this even a problem?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re-using content always runs the risk/possibility of it being seen twice.

But personally I don't think that matters much - not everyone will read every single word you write or watch every minute of the videos you create.

As well as that, some people prefer written content, others prefer videos and yet others prefer audios (easier to "digest" on the move) so there's an argument for stripping out the audio with a tool like VLC and posting it as a podcast.

Test - that will tell you whether or not your subscribers don't like the duplication but my guess is most of them won't worry.

  • Regarding "twice", I've seen it mentioned 5 times in your post.

It seems that you have a habit of saying the same thing, in different ways, in the same conversation, more than "twice" <--- (see what I did there?)

If you did that in your emails and I was subscribing to you, I'd probably unsubscribe.
(Just something to take note of. Maybe check your current writings).

However, regarding re purposing an article into a video, I don't think that's a crime!
In fact, it's a concept that has been preached to marketers by their god gurus for years now.

I'm sure out of a thousand people, someone may have a problem with seeing your content re purposed, but I assume this person would also be bitching about allot of things, all day long, to everyone else.
