She can start by joining freelancer.com as a provider.

She probably needs to bid really low to get a portfolio going.

I've heard great things about textbroker, though I haven't tried it personally.

Have you considered visiting the Copywriting section of the WF?

Also use the search function in the red navigation horizontal bar above. There are several previous threads with lists of places to get paid for article writing.

        Elance.

It gets a lot of hate, but I built my business on that place charging very respectable prices. It takes having some decent marketing chops to pull it off, though that can probably be said for selling writting for solid fees anywhere online.

If she's really serious about it, have her pick up a copy of "The Well-fed Writer" and Million-Dollar Consulting. Carol Tice's Freelance Writer's Den is a paid forum with a lot of solid info too.

Also tell her to start studying how to write for the online space. Writing about social science offline is a whole different universe in creating the type of content that engages online. Her rates will be a whole lot healthier if she takes the time to learn the craft.

I don't think the Copywriting section is the correct place for Julien. Article writing and copywriting very different things, and while that can be arguable on some fronts. they're likely to chase newcomers with article writing questions out of there.

Google can be her new best friend. She can find lots of sites to find work.
I would suggest that she create a profile herself, in here, so she can interact and people can learn more about her as well.

Hmmm, there's a lot of different places. Warrior's for Hire is a good place to start, then there's also oDesk. You could pitch magazines directly, that's where the real money is at, but it takes some practice. Here's a list I found with a grand total of 0.5 seconds of Google research.

I suggest she starts by joining freelancing websites, such as odesk, freelancer, elance, maybe even fiverr, to begin with.
Meanwhile, she can build her own website and start monetizing, writing books is also an option.

All good advice, there are many freelance websites, that is a good place to start. You can get your profile up right away and as you get customers you can expand from there.

Have her take out a thread in the warriors for hire section.

Content mills like Textbroker are awful, trust me. The pay is near poverty level and you'll never be able to support yourself, long-term. The only content mill I'd ever recommend would be CrowdSource (also known as Write.com). Their pay is better than all the other mills, but still not great. It's the best mill for people who are very new to freelancing.

Freelancing platforms like oDesk (now "Upwork") are her best bet for now. If she decides she's disciplined enough to freelance full-time, moving away from freelancing sites and into picking up clients through her own website or through sites like LinkedIn are the best long-term plans.

Source: I've been a full-time freelance writer for the last four years.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
I am looking for some simple rewriting work done daily, not a high paying job but it's also a quick daily one, would she interested in that?
