Need some advice with affilate IM blog

Hi Warriors,

I am blogger and in recent times I have been working with adsense and some minor affilate marketing. Until now I have been relatively successful and have been earning enough pocket money to keep everything going with enough left over for beers.

Unfortunately due to the nature of my niche it is quite difficult to earn more than just pocket money so I would like to start a proper affiliate site.

I have been making a lot of research and I have the base idea as well as the niche. I fully understand that it is essential to build a list so that is first on my mind.

Now my problem is the affiliate design and layout. I can design practically anything but I have the following questions.

1. Do you create the blog around a particular product or just the niche?

2. If its just around the niche, how do you promote your product? As in do you send your emails directed to this product. Or do you just write review articles and then include the affiliate link? Thereafter feed your list with different products every now and again?

3. Where do you put your squeeze page? On their first visit? On leaving or on a timer?

4. Do you have a list of successful converting affiliate blogs I can get some ideas from?

Would appreciate if someone can give me some advice on the above.

Thanks
S

I would definitely create a blog around a niche instead of a product. A niche will give you a lot more material to blog about than 1 product will, plus it gives you the chance to expand. As you blog more it will be come more natural to figure out which products to promote and knowing when to promote.

A squeeze page is typically used for your opt-in. So if you are going to offer a free ebook about your niche you could place an image or banner on your homepage. Once they click on that they will be taken to a squeeze page where they enter their email address.

Look at sites like Brian Deans Backlinko, Neil Patel's QuickSprout, Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income.

    I hope this helps!

Focus on helping people interested in that niche, product ideas will come by themselves, people will ask for it. Again, forget about building a skinny "sniper" type of website. We are on a different age now, a website by itself can be a huge business if you have Good content + Decent Design + Your own personality.

You mean a pop-up message? (different form a squeeze page) > if so, I do it on the first visit after 3 seconds + another one when they scroll down the page + another one when they try to leave the site + several others when they click certain links or perform certain actions > be CLEAR and transparent with what you are offering in exchange of people's emails... Don't over hype things and create false expectations because it will hurt your trust and authority which is very important to work your list.

Create different versions of your Pop ups, sign up forms for each of the different type of visitors that will come to your website. This is called "Personalization" and it increases conversion rates like nothing else in the world.

No, I think you limit yourself around one particular product. Address the Niche and then have multiple products that can help your Subs

    2. If its just around the niche, how do you promote your product? As in do you send your emails directed to this product. Or do you just write review articles and then include the affiliate link? Thereafter feed your list with different products every now and again? It should be centered around problems people are having within that Niche. You can send out informative emails with passive P.S. links at bottom with promos that can further help them !

    3. Where do you put your squeeze page? On their first visit? On leaving or on a timer?
Have an Optin on side of your Site

    4. Do you have a list of successful converting affiliate blogs I can get some ideas from?
    Nope

Would appreciate if someone can give me some advice on the above.

    Thanks

creating blog or niche is just a choice, you need to choose. It will determine your next 'angle of attack' to monetize it.

when promoting a product, I think it comes back to email marketing, building your list with email autorespnoder, sending it to your blog post review about a product.
I don't think we should post the whole article in the email.

squeeze page in pop up is better I think, higher conversion rate.

lots of successful affiliate blogs you can have when you google that keyword.

    HOpe it helps.
