What Are / Were Your BIGGEST Fears & Frustrations Learning Internet Marketing?

This thread is aimed particularly at 'newbies' to Internet Marketing although of course, experienced IM'ers are also welcome to participate in this discussion.

The question is, what are your BIGGEST fears or feelings of frustration learning about Internet Marketing?

Or, if an experienced IM'er, when you first started in Internet Marketing, what were your biggest fears or feelings of frustration and pain, when you started out down this road, learning everything that you could about Internet Marketing?

My biggest frustration was the intentional obfuscation of details.

Many internet marketers are secretive about exactly how to execute a particular strategy. I spent a lot of time (and money) doing trial-and-error testing simply because I never had a mentor that would share an exact process.

Information overload was problem #2. Since there are so many different ways to market products and services, it was hard to know where to begin... and harder still to determine whether you've made the best choices.

Yeah just sitting down and doing the actual work. Instead my mind would be wondering thinking of 6546984351 different ideas and other methods I could try. A lack of a direct and obvious path is the main thing. It's just one huge hill to climb befre you actually become successful.

My biggest frustrations....

Sticking to your guns... and staying focused. There is SO much info to read and try.. but there are a few things I"m doing now that seem to work. Basically stick to what it takes to get your product done, site built, marketing launched and making your first sales. Don't worry so much about the finer details and nice to haves.

- 'Zoom in, zoom out', not my term, read it somewhere, but essentially when you focus on a task you need to zoom in on the detail, create a solution, fix or whatever and then remember not to spend all day on it and be able to 'zoom out' and view your whole IM value pitch/offer from your target market's view point.

- Tenacity or never stopping. Just keep plugging away at your IM effort, take a break as needed but never stop. You only fail if you stop trying.
