Wordpress Developer how to find a good one

Hey i have outsourced my last projects over odesk, freelancer etc. But the problem is. This developers are not interested in long term work.

Example: I had a good ukraine developer for my web based solutions. But now he is not answering and finished not his work. That also was before the problem.

I pay over the normal price i don't search for 4-5$ developer i pay for work also 65$ an hour and more.

But where can i find someone how is also willing to work on a long term? We need updates on our script and to search each 3-4 months somthing new and explain everithing is very hard and coast a lot ot money.

    I take out ads on Craisglist, it works like a charm. I still get replies from weeks old ads. You should try it, I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.

    I've used WordPress Ninja in the past. He did good work and his price was reasonable. I believe he is taking orders currently.

    What type of "development" work you need? Do you have custom plugins or something? Or are you just talking updating the content?

    Do a meetup search for your area. Type in Internet Marketing or Wordpress and see what pops up. Where I live, they had a specific WordPress group. The Meetup group had 90 members. They all had different skill levels but with a little effort you should be able to get a good person at a very fair deal. I prefer this over long distance freelancers. Just my preference.
