The #1 key to success

I've been doing internet marketing for a over half a decade now, and have become fairly successful.

One of the biggest things I realized through, is there are just two main things that universally separate successful people from failures.
1. Never give up. I'm amazed how many people go, "will never work" after a week, month, or even year of doing this, if they don't see results. I fully believe this deters 99% of the people who fail to succeed.

2. Always be learning. This ties into #1, and is what ultimately creates success. When you first try anything you're at your worst - you have no clue what to do, you're trying random things, and you're at your lowest likelihood of success.
Simply, success comes down to never saying never, wanting it more badly than anyone else, and being willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

My early work was rambling, disorganized, and shittier than shit, but over time, like a coal into a diamond, it became polished, refined, and developed into a beautiful art form.

We all stumbled learning to walk, read, swim, and ride a bike - we get things wrong over and over, but if we keep persisting we slowly get better and better, and eventually we become masters over everything we teach ourselves to do.

I know there are a lot of things that factor into success and failure, but over the centuries, if you look at any successful person, these two traits are at the core of their success in anything they do.

I'm so grateful to IM not just for the money it brings me, but also that it taught me so many skills, built my confidence, and made me the person I am today.

But the other thing I realized is I couldn't have done it without being able to learn all I did from others, and I couldn't be more grateful for the help others have given me. Just wanted to say thanks!

#1 is spot on...I would use the word 'adapt' for #2 because that's really what you're doing when you're constantly learning. Also, great analogies, lol.

    I cannot agree more.

Definitely you need to hang in there.

However, you need to know when to quit.

When you quit a project, it does not necessarily mean you have given up on making money online completely.

You just decided to cut your losses with one particular project and focus on something else.

If I may add to your list of tips, I would add that people should focus on one thing at a time.

    This is crucial.

If you commit to doing one thing at a time, you increase your chances of success tremendously.

All that energy and resources you have spent trying to pursue many different things at the same time will instead be channeled to getting results from one particular project.

As the old saying goes, where your focus goes energy flows.

Making money online requires a lot of energy.

There are no two ways about it.

You have to be completely serious and you have to be completely dedicated.

This requires full and total commitment.

If you want to succeed, you have to hit one thing at a time.

Even if it fails, at least you have given it your all.

Most importantly, you have gathered some lessons which you can then use to increase your chances of success with your next project.

As basic as it sounds, you're pretty much spot on. People give up incredibly early. It isn't that they're not smart enough, it's that they give in to their emotions too easily.

I'm not a psychologist, but everything I've read from self-help books suggests that those who fail are afraid of change, afraid of failure, or a combination of both. You have to ignore those feelings and instead focus on the practical steps towards achieving your goal.
