I'm starting a couple experiments and want to see what the community input is on this.

All these experiments make the following assumptions:

You have no money & no job
You have Internet Access somewhere, home, coffee shop, whatever
You have a working computer
You have some skill, but nothing fancy, no programming skills, don't really know how to make a site, etc.
You have a debit card, but again, no money on it
You do have some real world skills, some communication skills, can write decently
You have some stuff you can sell, but not much and not for much <-- personal stuff, as in you can sell stuff on Craigslist to raise some money
You have 5 days before "they" start shutting off utilities, etc.
Finally, You have never done this stuff before, really no knowledge or experience, basic basic basic.

Okay, so I want to run 3 separate experiments and see how they fair.

Suggestions?

Here's my first that I've already setup:
Facebook ad + Affiliate offer + copy and paste
Here the idea is simple. Find an affiliate offer, create a Facebook targeted ad, and I mean really targeted, copy and paste the basic headline from the salespage and use the images from the salespage if available for your ad. Create a quick facebook page for the offer. $5/day budget, bid for clicks to site using impression for bids...not per click.

I need 2 more, ideas??

    Hi John
Are you aware that Add blocker Plus for both Chrome & Firefox now blocks all ads on Facebook and videos ads on You Tube!
Since I have installed the add on I have not seen any ads which is great but not for FB advertising.

Hi and I am aware of these ad blockers. But I'm also aware of the incredible exposure and unbelievable prices one can get on FB advertising. So I guess my customers won't be using that plugin

How about the experiement called getting a job? At the very least this should be your baseline.

Even at the US minimum wage of $7.25/hour, I guarantee you that if you're new to online business (i.e., "You have some skill, but nothing fancy, no programming skills, don't really know how to make a site, etc." / "Finally, You have never done this stuff before, really no knowledge or experience, basic basic basic.") you'll make more in any minimum wage job in your first five days than you will trying to start a new business.

Creating a new business is a marathon, not a sprint. You build it with an eye toward the future, not while trying to avoid your creditors today. Ask most people on this forum how long it took them to make their first $290 (which is the equivalent $7.25/hour for 40 hours) and I guarantee you almost everyone will say much, much longer than five days. At least for me, it was almost a month.

In my opinion, I would go on posting comments on high traffic websites with a direct link to affiliate offers.
I made several thousands like that but sure there are details to this method.

Hard for people to see if they are using them, or may be you put this thread up so people would notice the same info in the sig?

I second Kilgore's idea. Here's how to work today and get paid today:

In short, if your utilities are getting cut off in five days, walk away from the computer and put on your work gloves!

    Hi,
How do you run fb ads with no money? Just hope for a sale?
For me, I start with offer the service/product at my own fb wall and active groups.
    Just make sure,
    - that service/product have request from markets
    - drive targeted traffic
    - give irresistible offer

    But nice experiment anyway!

If the assumptions you listed are real, then do get a job first! It's not impossible to make good money by following the plan your presented, but just to be on the safe side, it's best to look for a 'regular' job and do your online thing on the side. You said it yourself, your first assumption is that you have no money, so you would need them at least to run the ads !

With what exactly? Monopoly money? Maybe buttons?

    What a ridiculous post.

    Hey John,
Seems to be some confusion here. If they have no money then how can they spend $5 a day with FB.?

I think you may want to scrap that particular experiment.

$5 a day is not much but for someone who has no money it adds up

I agree with some of the previous posters, the thread in general makes little sense...
