How to promote this campaign?

I am working on a website what provides web development and design services.

To start off the company, I am planning to build certain number for websites for free in return my customers give a testimonial and we have the rights to use the website in our portfolio.

How would you go about promoting website building services? I do not want to be in a position where I am paying a certain shape of my profits for PPC or PPV advertising.

I am looking for new traffic ideas which are free.

    First of all, don't work for free! Work for less, so you can attract new business, but never work for free!
    As far as traffic goes, I'd say ad campaigns are your best bet, so you'd be able to get wel ltargeted traffic.

    If you using time , talent and skill to make websites then you should get some thing in return .
    Don't work free , you can ask for less amount .
    Ad, banners will help you to generate some traffic .
