INTERNET MARKETING

hello;

I am in the process of making a few landing pages to find the best conversion. I am gonna test this in a couple days but still wonder what would bad ass marketers like Abraham or Kern recommend as a general strategy:

Options 1:

Present a killer copy
Give download access to a 30 min kick ass video + a good pdf
In the video and pdf say: Come back and get the rest if you liked this

Option 2:

Present a killer copy
Don't give access to anything but promise a good deal
Ask for email in return for the value

There obviously are pros and cons to both but I like to hear some of your comments too

The marketers I follow give the content first, and so do I.

An unread report is of how much value to you?

A prospect you didn't get the chance to build rapport with is of how much value to you?

If no one reads your report, what value does it have?

If you don't get the chance to build rapport with your visitor, and they leave forever, what value does that have?

I am asking the questions instead of saying a statement so you'll ask and answer them yourself.

Put half of your report out there.

Then ask them to opt in for the rest.

That's a method that gets readers reading and rapport building.

  I use a simple concept that I have termed UBI.
  It stands for 'useful but incomplete' information.
  
  I think it is self explanatory, and I utilize it a lot

I would say that your approach all depends on the type of product. If you are selling
a SERVICE then you can give information upfront and ask for their email
address afterwards. For a service, the information you provide will not
provide the service for them but offer information about the service.

If you are selling information, then I would ask for the email first and then
provide some information as a teaser and to prove your expertise.
