Is Google also picky about banner ads (content network) as well as search?

Hello;

I see how Google doesn't like squeeze pages but I wonder if it's only on their search network or also content.

In other words iIs Google also picky about where banner ads land?

    Oh yes! Adwords has a very clear policy on lead capture pages. If the only thing a user can do to continue and get more information when they land on your page is an opt-in than basically you're creating a bad user experience in Google's eyes and they don't like that at all. Squeeze pages STILL work but you have to go about in a completely different way. Also, your site needs to have a clear privacy policy, TOS and contact information in order to comply to some of their advertising policies.

    I can sell you a lead-capture page that currently works well for me on Adwords but if you want to do it on your own it's very easy. Just be creative and do NOT force an opt-in.
