Different strategies for different Niches?

Just a general question, too broad (it appears) for the search function.

When driving traffic to a capture page or a landing page, is it better to customize you're strategy based on the general niche? I know that not every strategy works for every niche as a general rule, but how far does that stretch?

Currently, I am using classified to promote MMO / Work At Home offers, but I don't think that same strat would work well for a weight loss niche (such as 'lose weight after giving birth').

Do some niche's cross strategies with varying degrees of success? I'm trying to find other niches that work with the classified ads strategy, but it's hard to know for sure.

Any opinions?
Thanks.

Most definitely different traffic sources work with different offers. The safest way to go is to start with the competition – where are they? Then take incremental steps to find fresh waters.

Hmm, I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you wondering whether or not using classifieds will work with both the make money online niche and the weight loss niche? That I'm not sure of.

I used to spend a lot of time posting on classified ad sites, Backpages primarily, but I quickly realized that my time and efforts became 1000% more efficient by using paid advertising.

  • Going for Google traffic for weight loss is perfect, but competition is huge, so building a site from scratch for a weight loss site may not be worth the time.

Just a quick search for "traffic generation" can help you to be able to find out different ways to get traffic to your offers.

The answer to your question is "yeah." Some traffic strategies work better for not only some niches but when promoting certain types of products in a particular niche market than others do. The only way I've come to know this is by learning about the niche I'm in. It's not something that someone will necessarily tell you or something you will see written down.

I agree ^^. PPC is the best way to drive well targeted traffic to your website. With PPC, you practically make sure your ad is seen by people who are interested in your niche for real. And, it works for all niches.
