Guys, may I ask based on your learning and earning experience, which of the 3 do you think is the most profitable and productive way to make $ online?

1. Focus only on 1 niche and drive traffic through a variety of different methods be it free or paid ones,

2. Focus on a variety of say 3-4 profitable niches or sub-niches within the same niche and drive traffic using just 1 method be it free or paid one OR

3. Focus on just 1 niche and drive traffic using just 1 method be it free or paid for the next 2-3 months and see how it goes before either improvising the method or changing both the niche and your traffic method?

Will appreciate your feedback on this.

Thanks.

Your question is about how to scale a success campaign, right?
If some campaign bring you profit, it is necessary to test more traffic source firstly. It is no need to wait 2-3 months long before scale up your business. You should do it immediately before your compititor discover it.

This subject has been discussed over and over again. Most of the marketers on warrior forum agrees that it is wiser to focus on only one project for a period of time. When you feel that you've done enough to maintain the income of a site with minimal work, then you can start focusing on something else.

For me, focus on one project and try to improve it as much as possible before moving in to another one. Your goal should be to automate / outsource most of the work first before moving in to another project.

I'm talking about big project not just small ones. Maybe it's okay to work on several small projects from time to time but make sure it will not take so much of your time on your main project.

Spreading yourself too thin will only slow down your progress.

First of all, focusing on 1 niche is the way to go.
And between #1 and #3, I'd say, the first one! For every new project you have, why limit yourself to 1 method of generating traffic? It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Those are interesting options. But to get the most accurate answer, rather than a guesstimate, I'd have to know a few more small details. For example ...
        • Is what your offering a product or service?
        • Will you be marketing primarily to …
Cold prospects? - They need educating on the value of your type of product or service!

Warm prospects?- They know the value of your type of product or service but little or nothing about you.

Hot Prospects? – They know the value of your type of product or service and ... they know you!
        • Do you plan on doing most of the work yourself or will you be outsourcing most of it?
        • As far as you can tell how is your closest competitor marketing in relation to your 3 choices?
        • Which of the 3 do you have the most experience doing?
To get the most accurate answer all the above would need to be considered, minimum. Otherwise the best you'll get is an assortment of (shot in the dark) guesses, speculation and opinions - as you can see so far.

Here's what I can tell you. I've been behind some of the biggest launches over the years on clickbank.
I've coached many of the top internet marketers that have become well known names.

With that being said, if I had to start all over again..

I would focus ONLY on 1 niche. Ideally a niche that has a huge desperate market ( so that way you don't trap yourself into a box)

Then I would pick 1 paid traffic source and ONLY focus on that ( facebook ppc, bing, google adwords, banners, etc) Ideally a traffic source that you can scale HUGE and get fast traffic (don't even waste your time with free traffic methods. most are not really scalable / dependable)

As for the person who said 'why only do 1 traffic source, it doesn't make sense'

    yes it does.

Doing more than 1 traffic source at a time causes you to lose focus and be less effective at your main traffic source.

    Bruce Lee said it best.

Here's my philosophy - pick 1 thing. focus on just that!

While someone is busy trying to get traffic from 2 or 3 different sites and getting distracted.. You could just be zoning out on FB ads and getting damn good at it FAST. And could ramp up your campaign from 10 visitors a day up to 50,000 visitors a day and not doing a single thing else.

I know many may disagree but I think number 2. One reason is that Time can be a huge factor in getting your Site or Blog going to be profitable.

The earlier you can start a Site the more Time and Age you can acquire to get in good with Google and Search Rankings.

Although the Age of a Site is not as important as it once was it is still relevant.

Get a few going at once and you are starting out on the right foot

What I normally recommend is to start with 1 traffic source (eg. PPC, or ppv, etc) and learn that traffic source before moving on (try different niches with that traffic source)

Then once you are finding steady success, pick a new traffic source to learn

  • To be honest, you want to set one thing up properly. Make sure you have one campaign already making you some money before you decide to move on to the next thing.

It all depends on your work ethic. I, for one, work very fast and can manage multiple things going on at one time. Each person is different.

  • I'd say #1, and use 2-3 methods of getting traffic that you are good at, or can get good at, at first.
