Free E-Cover Software

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good free e-cover software?

It doesn't have to be state of the art or anything like that, just something that is very easy to use and doesn't take a lot of technical know how.

    Yes, you can use action scripts which are free.

    I have just bought a piece of ecover software for $27 which as easy and has 28 templates built in. One click and it changes product, ie - book, ebox etc. Can't remeber the exact name but will check and post on here.

        I have used eCover Engineer and for the low price, it's a pretty decent tool. Although, like most graphics software the defining factor as far as quality of the output is going to depend allot on the user's design skills.

        Another one that is supposed to be pretty good, and not too expensive (under fifty bucks) is Cover Commander. I've never used it myself, but read some good things about it. There is a free trial available for download at:

          I've used Insofta Cover Commander and works great! I highly recommend. Very easy to use. I don't remember how much I paid for it though. Hope this helps!

      Is this the $27 software that you purchased? This one has some pretty sharp graphics in their sales letter, but it looks like they only have 15 templates.

        Hey Loren,

        Before creating this thread I did a search for ecover software on here and found a thread about a good bit of software being given away by GiveAwayOfTheDay.com and I have since joined.

        I understand that the free/cheap ones aren't going to be fantastic, however I just want a couple of very basic designs for free e-books that I'll give away.

    There are some photoshop templates. You need just to have a little knowledge on using Photoshop and you can edit the template.

    Have you tried Fiverr. They have some pretty good gigs for ebook cover creation. Make sure you check the sellers reviews and ranking before buying.
