Looking For Proper Direction & Focus

Hello Warriors,

I have been away from online marketing since early 2010. I had major success with Organic traffic from Google. Today from what I am seeing things have totally changed. I left internet marketing because I went onto chemo therapy and couldn't really work at all. I beat the cancer I had.

Now I am wanting to chase my dream of full time travel, but need an income source. I would like to know what direction you would suggest that someone go who does not have the funds to have their own product produced nor a lot of money to invest. My goal is to just make $100 a day and I have only $200 in money I can invest into it.

My vision is damaged, so I cannot just go back into working at a lab and save money. I have failed every employer eye sight test I have taken for employment. My past work history needs much better vision than I have today.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Sorry to hear of your plight, and very happy that you have overcome it!

Since you want to travel - I would suggest that you look into something like travel. I am an official travel agent and there are a number of ways for you to make money while traveling.

My sig has the travel signup link in it and since it is free to start - well that's your ticket. Once you get my email, you will find affiliate information near the bottom of it and simply follow those instructions. I will personally take care of your account and make sure you get started quickly and earning income.

Additionally, I would advise you to open an account with your favorite email autoresponder (I use GetResponse because they also have hosted Landing Pages) and since they have hosted landing pages, I would do that instead of getting a website and hosting - because, it will be more profitable for you to build a list than to try to do the website.

For the same trouble of getting traffic for a website, you can quickly build an email list and continually mail to targeted traffic you already captured before. Much better than getting visitors to your site and watch them leave for ever more - wasted traffic and effort = lost real and potential revenue.

Your emails can be going out for you all year and every year with just a few days of work and you can enjoy your vacations and travels while the nagging beep of the phone tells you of more money coming in. Enjoy your life!

So, I went ahead and filled out your web form with my real email and name of James. NowI posted the below information in regards to another person who responded. FYI, I have not gotten an email from you.

I have already started a video log on YouTube and have now grown to about 4k subscribers with about 1400 average views per video. I am not much of a writer, but have thought about having a blog as well. I have a Vlog Facebook fan page with about 400 fans and I have a secondary Facebook fan page in the Vintage RV restoration niche. The RV page has about 2400 fans.

My vision is going rapidly and I have been working in a call center where I hate the misleading script that I have to read. Can you help give me direction with this additional information?

I am thinking with your personal story, and desire to travel you could set up a travel blog - I know 'blogging' is a hard gig for some, especially if you don't like writing. However your situation is ideal for a travel blog, your personal triumph at overcoming your physical issues can be very inspiring for a lot of people going through the similar experience - a travel blog is cheap to set up, you could even start out with a free Blogspot, or wordpress.com type approach and only go self-hosted once you have some revenue from affiliate sales, adsense etc.

Wow - Congratulations on beating cancer! Must have been rough, but you managed it. That's an experience that I'm sure plenty of others could benefit from.

    Catch my drift?

Nevertheless, if I had only one piece of advice to offer today, it would be to develop an app of some sort. It's advice that I have yet to follow myself.

Mobile apps are huge right now, and if you've paid any attention at all to what Facebook and Google are doing, you'll see they're literally pushing all their dependents (i.e. marketers) toward the same direction.

Admittedly, programming isn't easy. But if you approach things from an alternative point of view, you'll find a solution that suits your way of thinking. Start simple and then enhance toward more advanced developments in time.

For now, I say go "app."

Yes, Setup your own blog about traveling. Should focus on the cities you have visited yourself. Write about their foods, good places, shopping malls, culture, economy, hotels, etc. You can then use many ways to monetize your blog like Google Adsense. If your maintain good quality of content you will soon start getting visitors and requests to place Ads of different hotels and shops on your website. You can also monetize by placing ads of travel companies to get affiliate commissions. There are lots of options.

Don't forget to make email list from the first day. Always email your email subscribers about new deals and offers to maximize your affiliate earning.

You can also refer clickbank products in your blog if you can find some related products.

    Good Luck.

You are on the right direction my friend.

Video, and Podcasting will be your main weapon.

    Focus on Motivation Niche.

You beat your cancer, that is something that not everyone can copy. Use it to create your brand.

Have you ever tried to drive traffic from your 4.000 Subscriber?

Upload your video to other video sharing site as well.

Drive your viewer to your blog.

Having a blog that feature all your video and podcast is very important.

You will have more flexibility in monetizing your site.

    Capture their email address.

When you say your vision is going rapidly, do you mean you are going blind?

I would find a method that allows you to invest money into it and get more money back than you started with. As a shameless plug, I just released a WSO that does exactly that, but you won't start getting the money every month until at least two months after you start. That is the fastest way I know of to put money in and get more money out, but I also don't know much of anything about paid traffic, which could be a faster route.
