Video collage - where to make?

I think eKing is right. Some parts can be done in Windows Movie Maker, but I can't figure out how to get all effects done in it. I'm not an IM, I'm an info product creator. I use a lot of these techniques myself on a regular basis. Perhaps other video creators and 3D animators can jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong.

In my perception there is a fair amount of stock footage, stock animated backgrounds and stock graphics. There is nothing wrong with that, on the contrary. The different scenes are obviously put together in a standard editing program: Edius, Première, Avid, whatever. The text animation can be done in any editing software. Most programs come with an easy to use built in title generator, allowing you to give any title/text any entry and exit motion. But some grafics here are simple alpha channels (transparant layer). The light effects on the text elements look like After Effects to me, although I'm not sure, because I've seen a similar light effect in Edius. All transitions are standard video transitions (fade, wipe, picture-in-picture..). The book animation is a 3D animation and looks quite familiar to me, having created some books with turning pages myself in the past. That is in short my analysis. Don't hesitate to share your opinon, guys. I could be wrong on more that one observation. It will take some time to learn how to create motion graphics and 3D animation. If time is an issue, I think you can find 'Warriors for hire' and 'Fiverr creators' to do it for you.

The video that they showed on that website was of such poor quality, that you can make something much better even with Movie Maker.
But yes, you can use free trial versions as well.
