Which form of IM pays the best/quickest? Looking to supplement my Adsense w/ something else...

I've been spending most of my time with Adsense on niche sites, but while that takes its time to ramp up, I was thinking of getting into some other stuff. What would you guys recommend?

Promote affiliate products from CB? How do I select the right products? Would I use article marketing, or are there better methods? I see people talking about Adwords, but that is simply a method of driving traffic to CB, right?

Write ebooks and sell them on CB? Do I simply need to write and put it up, or will need to invest time and try to gather affiliates to help me promote it? Does this pay as well as some people say it does?

I know that many, many people always complain about clickbank...but once you got your campaigns going and things work out, clickbank becomes very reliable and their paychecks/bank transfers are always on time.

But its really not about CPA, clickbank, plimus, XYZ <--- its about the PRODUCT. You discover a good niche and you see a matching product in CP, CPA, revenuewire, plimus....then chose the program which has the particular quality product.

As for adwords/article marketing. Personally my focus is article marketing and i like it better than adwords, especially clickbank and adwords can prove very difficult.

There are a few factors WHY....the first is average conversion rate (which can be WAY higher for good articles as compared to PPC traffic)...then cost per click....and payouts. (99% of CB products actually pay below $30, and 99% of keywords for those clickbank products are just too expensive)

This is a simple "math" which you can apply...if you see that PPC conversion for clickbank via adwords can VERY OFTEN be in the ranges 1:80 - 1:90...then you will quickly see it HARDLY will work <-- (despite what vendors claim!) Exceptions are the rule tho.

I find the doing PPC campaigns is the quickest way to make money online. It's not the cheapest way, but doing PPC and using a good optimization tracking program you can relatively quickly make it practically risk-free and a reliable stable income (if you focus on more long term niches/offers instead of maybe CPA offers).

Do you think that you could share how you got started, either here, or you could even start one of those threads like XFactor or Steve Crooks - How I make $XXXX a month with PPC.

Have to agree with the PPC traffic as being the fastest way to get up and running.

As an affiliate, you could just start to test the market and split test 3-4 products at a time...traffic is quick so in 1 week you could already see if the market is worth it or not.

Then you can simply create a better product or with a different angle and use it as a self liquidating offer, with a proper sales process to make money even if you LOOSE money on the front end.

Also PPC can be one of the fastest ways to build a list in a certain market.

I suppose article marketing would be the way to go, if you're just starting out and not too familiar with the other methods.

PPC sounds interesting. I know nothing about it, but I knew nothing about Adsense some time back too. Can anyone introduce the basics? How would I get started?

I guess you can check out googles training center or one of those books from the "dummies" series...Adwords for Dummies...I think these would be a good way to learn the basics of it.

Tho be careful, you can loose LOADS of money EXTREMELY fast if your not careful.

So Marian, would you recommend that I get into standard CB promotion or writing & promoting my own ebooks first? In order to have a successful CB product, do I simply need to put it up on CB, or will I have to try and get lots of super-affiliates to help promote it too (cuz that sounds like a long-winded headache, tracking down and convincing each one)? I've never launched an ebook before and don't know the process.

Article marketing is the most unique and most effective way to do marketing. It is kind of narrow marketing like marketing only a selected product or a specific one. Another good way to do marketing is to use the social networks.

I think I've got the theory down on that... I would just write articles (hopefully ones that inspire action), which would go to a top-level domain redirect to an affiliate page or a squeeze page on my own website (though I have no idea which work better, I would think that the former works better).

Article marketing and keyword/niche selection is something I have down because I use that for niche sites. Do you guys find success using this method with CB products?

As a personal opinion I would say that you test the market as an affiliate first, if you have success start building your own product but make it better/different then the one you were promoting as an affiliate.

And to have a successful product on CB you do need to get alot of affiliates to promote it.

There would be too much to say here when it comes to starting out, it depends on LOADS of factors and one method might be good for most people but not for you.

So I recommend reading this forum some more, create a plan of action and follow it

You know what Marian, you've actually given me a fair bit of info already! The fact that I need to get a lot of affiliates to help promote my own product means that I will be starting with promoting other peoples products. You got any tips for product selection?

Best way to find a product to promote is to decide the market that you want to go in, and then split-test 3 or more products...after a few hundread visitors you simply select the best one.

That is if you can bring enough traffic fast enough.

Another method is to simply go with the products that other affiliates are having success with and promote it using your own angle.

Ex: If the product is about traffic generation for example, you could write articles for "The nr.1 key to succeding in IM is..."

Ofc, this is just an example of the top of my head but you get the point.

Also you can try and market it laterally...you might get lower conversions but if the competition is too high the regular way...

Do you have a couple of general markets you'd recommend to start with? I would think that weight loss for example, is grossly oversaturated.
