I agree with Sameer Sheikh. Get a basic understading of internet marketing first, instead of flying blind.

My advice is that you get on some internet marketing mailing lists (like Frank Kern, Jeff Johnson, Mark Ling, Yaro Starek, Eben Pagan to name a few) and follow the product launches (you'll be swept up by the vortex of the IM product launches automatically, so don't worry about that). Anyway, you'll get a lot of free, valuable content from these mailing lists.

You should try to visit affilorama.com as well. There's a lot of great free content there for you to use to develop your skills.

Decent Advice Sameer. I might suggest a couple of things to that. People can easily forget how many hours of research can go into starting any business, including simple ad sense selling. So really with all there is to offer these days on the internet anyone that try's to tell you a solution with out knowing you is a train wreck waiting to happen.
That being said its much like starting any business start with knowing what you like. A hobby and passion. In addition know your strengths and weaknesses. The most important of all is WHY are you wanting to do Internet Business? Desperate and need quick cash IM may not be the best solution. Long term eventual replacement of income to quit the day job type business are usually the most successful kind.

Go get approved few CPA accounts and start doing a social marketing. You can do it for free either : free host account=> wp blog=> articles=> cpa affiliate=> income!

I believe you are in the right website. Hang around see all the possibilities. Do not rush into anything. Some information is very valuable and fruitful and some can get you real confused. Study the form see the weakness people have and see the strength you have in this field. You can decide for yourself.

Take money and reinvest in some research tools that help automate.

Try reserving your money to buy your own domain. For starters I think these will help:

1. Go to Dot.Tk to get free .tk domains - they're free
2. Utilize Free Blogs and Squidoo Lenses, Hubpages, gather for additional cash
3. Go to Clickbank and find products to promote
4. Promote using article marketing and free classified ads

There are soo much more but I would like to recommend that you pick a few methods and stick with it until it pays out then proceed to another (maybe expand)

hey believe it or not but earn over $6k a month, and all it cost me is $10, so i am $5,990 in profits, and it is increasing everyday. All you need is find an affiliate program which promising commsion pay outs, and master article marketing, all you need my friend to become rich

ok just my 2¢ on the matter... if i were you and i already had those $30... i'd wait some more and save up some more money... get it as close to about $500 as possible... then... get a domain, and outsource everything leaving you to reap the money

or you could invest it in some project or buy some stocks... etc... the options are limitless the only limit is set by your own imagination...

Avoid Adsense like the plague.

Strong statement I know, and adsense certainly has its place - but right now unless you are planning on starting a free blogger blog (which is not a bad idea) it's not for you. You need to hit a $100 minimum and if you spend the $30 on a domain name and hosting I doubt you will have reached the minimum, and done so in the time limit for getting you the cheque before your $30 runs out on hosting bills.

Instead either look for quick converting affiliate products and set up a site and hosting (or use a blogger blog etc) or perhaps even better look at making quick dollars some other way.

Consider flipping a site if you reckon you can learn about that quickly enough (and you can find all the information you need for that for free). Failing that look at bringing in some more spending money another way - writing articles for other warriors, creating a report to sell as a WSO, pretty much anything can be used to help bring in some more dosh.

$30 is not much, after a domain name that will only give you a couple of months hosting. Instead do your research whilst also bringing in some more spending money - and then go all out with an action plan AND some money behind you to help utomate things.

Consider that $30 a base for your business capital - not your actual business capital.

I'd just like to explain a few things as to the extent of my knowledge for making money online.
I know about placing ads on a site and I know about keyword research and all that. I may not have been clear but I have a domain, and, In fact a whole site.
I'm looking for ways to capitalize on that.
E.g do I pay for traffic? Should I pay for an SEO to do mysite? Should I just outsource articles and use for Article Marketing?
Also, How shouldI go about selling individual products via clickbank. Can I sell products related to my site via sub-domains (I mean to askif this is effective, or if one-page sites are the more effective wayto go).

I do appreciate all the help you have given me and have seriously considered at least 3 options (researching them).

Keep your money and do some research first.

One suggestion would be to checkout the free ebook
section of this great forum called Make Money Online.

Also checkout some how to make money online websites
and subscribe to their lists as most offer fr'ee products, tools
and resources to help you learn the basics.

Keyword research is what you should do first. Find a set of keywords that people are searching for and that there arent many sites competing. The google keyword tool is a good starting point. Then check for the competition in google. After that get a couple of domains with the keyword in the url and start building links manualy. Monetize the site and use the money you make to buy tools to make your job easier. Then rinse and repeat.

Buy a domain name that is related to a top selling product form Clickbank and use it to redirect to your hoplink. Start article marketing to promote this website.

A domain name will run you somewhere from $7.50 to $10 and hosting can run you $5 to $10 a month.

Pick a niche that you want to jump into, such as social media, article writing, seo, etc. and join the lists of the experts in that niche and get a bunch of cool free content. Search Google for some of their older free content and when you start making some good money, buy their products.

I say this, as on the left hand column, a little way down, there is a picture of an ebook called dotcomology. It is avaiolable for a free download, and is over 300pages of information on the internet, and making money on line.

Whilst you have to start online somewhere, I think it is better to hacve a little , over the general view knowledge' before you spend your money.

There are many things you can do, but if you can afford hosting around $10 per month, you can install a free wordpress blog, and start that way, also using adsense from google for advertising.

This is just one suggestion, but I recommend you look at the dotcomology book as it is detailed, and free.

Well as it was said before, buy some hosting and start a blog(I use HostGator for hosting and GoDaddy for domains). If you have any money left over look for submission services or link building services on the Warrior forum, there are some excellent deals out there if you look.

You can start a free blog on Blogger, put some Adsense codes on and wait till you reach $100, conbined with your $28. Then start seriously

I will personally first find a market that is rabid and profitable. Once this this done, I will go and find a good affiliate product which has good sales copy.

The next thing that I will do is to get a domain name for 1 year and redirect that domain name to my affiliate link. This should not cost you most than $10 to get the domain name for 1 year.

The next process that I will do is to drive targeted traffic to the link. Here is the simple traffic plan which I will use daily and commit for the next 30 days.

1) Write and submit 3 relevant articles to the top 10 article directories.

2) Convert the articles into pdf and submit to the Slide directories

3) Socialbookmark the pdf and the article.

4) Repeat the whole cycle again.

Once I have earn any profits, I will not spend it and treat it as a business fund. When there is more than enough business fund, subscribed to the professional autoresponder and start building your list.

I will personally do these if I only have US$25.

But most of them will be scams!
So before you join any program,ensure it is a genuine site.
Do you know how to ensure that?
Simply do a google search like this:----(enter your program name
here)is a scam.
Then you will get a lot of information pages about that site.
Read them and take a wise decision.
I do make some money in some PTC programs and affiliate programs which are no cost or low cost programs.

Ha. This is strange, I haven't been on for months and as I'm looking through the threads on the front page - I notice mine.

At first I thought "Oh, another one of THOSE questions", before actually realising it was mine. Lol.

Anyways, I'd like to thank everyone who has given me suggestions, I really do appreciate it. Unfortunately, I haven't had proper access to a computer with internet for a few months - so following through with most/any of these suggestions up until now has been a near impossibility.

However, I would like to further add to my initial post that I'm contemplating hiring an outsourced writer to knock up a ebook for me to sell. I've since increased my budget from $28 to $130 - $350, and am really looking for the right path to go down.

I've tried the 'site creating + seo optimisation and fresh content approach' but that hasn't really worked. Also tried, somewhat half-heartedly I gotta say, the affiliate marketing idea. Again, not so much success.

Getting an opinion on whether I should create a site, and outsource the link building/content creation, do the whole 'sell your own product thing', or hire a mentor to teach me - would be greatly appreciated. If you have better ideas which you don't think have been mentioned here, or in enough detail - please feel free to share also.

Okay, main points of this novel-esque post:

1.) I have access to more funds now.

2.) 3 Main money spending ideas:
Create site, outsource everything.
Create product. Sell via any and all means (clickbank, dedicated site etc.)
Hire mentor.

And I'm ofcourse open to suggestions. I'm really not looking into writing articles for money just yet. I'm more after creating a small, ongoing business.

P.S: I know a fair bit about internet marketing, site creation, content creation, seo and all that. I'm not looking to be spoon-fed. But, like most, I'm just looking for a good idea (preferably proven) that can help me and others reading this, get a good return on their investment.

You need a plan of action first and money later. Work on your plan and then you'll see how much it will cost to implement it and where you should spend your dollars.

If you're good at site creation, you might want to consider site flipping or even just creating sites for other people for hire.

Invest your money online in training and courses that will help you out to your success to build a long term income in the net.INVEST it and take time to study and apply.

There's nothing you can do with that amount for paid
advertising, so the next best thing (or arguably THE best
thing) is free advertising.

I have money to invest in paid, but I do great with free
advertising. There are so many ways to go with this it's
ridiculous, but you do have to implement a few of them to
generate an onslaught of free traffic to where ever you
want it to go.

The trick is to map out a very specific, detailed marketing
plan for each campaign you start, otherwise you will never
get anything done or you'll get lost doing something.

Buy a WSO from a credible seller, or purchase a guru product
to gather the information faster and have actuall strategies...
or spend a few hours browsing the forums and put together
a strategy yourself (or if your lucky enough, you'll find a strategy
in the original post).

It's fair game, and you can really go any direction you feel will
be best for you.

You can mix and match, subtract, or add...but it'll be whatever

I have know when I started I did not have alot of money but I did what was best for me and that was constant emailing or reverse emailing when people sent me things cause I did not know anything about forums, rss feeds, ezines and you name it and believe it or not out of consistency and persistant it started to slow trickel my first businessI have then gotten to the point of being able to learn and start to use some profits to outsource on a steady basis with some areas. I believe in doing what you have a passion for. I don't have a passion for ppc,adsense or other things that may hbe given a dramatic income increase to others but if I don't understand it I am not going to fall into "cause others do it " syndrome. So, take your time and feel your moves. It works great for me. Just my newbie .02 cents

Save a few more bucks and join the war room. Read it feverishly.

Try to *understand* it, not just jump from thing to thing.

Buying a domain and faking something along isn't going to help you - learn from the pros in this very forum and pay attention to what they are saying and doing.

Take that knowledge and apply it to some skill set you have - if you're good at plumbing, then do something with plumbing - a plumbing forum, a blog, write your own common plumbing tips ebook, etc. Whatever it is, there's something you have experience with, even if it's working at a fast food restaurant.

If that's the case, write a gross-me-out secrets of the fast food restaurant biz ebook/newsletter, etc. and build a list or sell things outright. Follow the general guidelines of the experts in the Warrior Forum, balance it with your experiences in life, and you'll have a much better chance of success vs. following the latest trend or getting into something you have zero experience with.
