Hm, your pics can show up in ads? One more reason not to use FB other than to advertise..

Really is it happening? I have no idea regarding this, I mean how it can be happen and what is the benefit of it? Thanks for the solution you have given. Need to apply this, as I do not want to see my face on adsence.

It isn't just ads that are the problem - you should set all of your photo albums to private to avoid the "photo stalker" application. If our photo albums are not set to private, anyone who has this app can look at them just by adding your name. Creepy.

Similarly, I get alot of emails from Classmates.com showing people from my high school graduating class. The headline is "Do you remember {insert name here}!" and it shows their picture with arrows pointing to your own photo or avatar, insinuating some type of relationship between the two of you. I don't know about you but I'd hate to login to a service like that for the first time and then find out they are sending broadcast emails out with my photo, just kind of creepy if you ask me.

That's why I never use FB for advertising. And I don't accept invites from people I don't know.

Like most of the people here this just seems like a bad idea, I have heard about adult dating sites doing similar things using peoples profiles in their ads. At least with Facebook the content would be hopefully PG. However, it just shows you that you need to be careful which companies you trust online, since facebook pretty well idemdifies itself from any legal action you take.

A good question would be if you could take legal action against facebook if someone else posts a picture of you online and facebook without your permission uses your likeness in advertising. I would venture to guess if you were not a facebook user and you somehow found out about this you could have a decent case.
