How to get an explosion of affiliates.

I would love to know how to get an explosion of affiliates I have a product on paydotcom and I am using there affiliate system . Since I just launched this product I have 0 afiliates . But would love to have some . I am in an ultra hot niche but here is the thing . There is alot of competition in it.

I am offering freebies for people to join . Price is only 14.95 one time fee to buy the product . With a 50/50 split . I know that is not much but I was hoping to make up for price with bulk sales .

Any ideas?

EVERYONE offers 50/50 man. Try 75% or even 100% if you want to get a lot of affiliates. Of course, these models usually are set up to make the big money on the back end.

You said yourself there is big competition in this niche. How do you set yourself apart? What makes your offer the one to promote over any others?

Think what you would look for as an affiliate - high conversion rates on the sales page, tools to help make your life easier such as pre-written emails, etc, statistics and tracking, lifetime commissions, two-tiered commission, etc etc etc.

Right now unless your page converts at like 20% it just wouldn't be worth most people's time.

Thanks Dan . Great think I am going to get sick now Umm I do offer alot of free stuff to members . Also I am cheaper than my competitors . But I make no money off the back end .

So offering 50/50 is really the best I can do . I feel like the conversion ratio is more than 20 percent if it is targeted . If they are really looking for a service like mine I am pretty sure they land on my page it will be what they want . So the Chance of them buying will be realllyyyy high. Higher than 20 percent . Specially if they are aware of the current pruices of competitors.

Someone has even comented I am too cheap . But I am hoping to make up the dif by getting more customers not overcharging.

affiliate-announce.com

Another way is to contact affiliate managers in the same niche as yours, and ask them if you could pay them to send an email to their affiliates, asking them to join your affiliate program.

And of course, to attract affiliates, you have to prepare a variety of affiliate tools and pre-sellers that they may choose from. To see a sample, click the first link in my sig.

Trent for a product this cheap you must create backend products... it's the only way you will achieve big success...

If not... my advice is to try PPC and see how well your sales page converts and give that information to potential affiliates.

Have you used affiliate-announce.com? Their listings look, well, pretty anemic to say the least. 1 listing for "Internet Marketing" and it leads to a pharmacy site.

You've got a tough row to hoe ahead with that kind of price, but that's not to say you can't do it. Just that it will be more difficult. Hard to get people to promote products that pay so little, even that convert high, when there are so many competing products out there.

You might approach some competitors and see if they'd like to promote your product as a downsell .

You need to find a way to sell a higher end product. Stop this "I'll make it up with volume". You won't. Dont' be lazy. Just put more value and bonuses into your product and jack that price UP. Give your affiliates 75% and they'll come a knockin'.

If you reckon it'll convert at > 20% buy some long tail adwords ads cheap and prove your conversion ratio. If you can prove it converts that well people will be knocking down your door. If you're not prepared to put up some of your own money to get the targeted traffic you're going to be hard pushed to get other people to.

What kinds of tools have you created for your affiliates to be able to promote your product?

Many affiliates want to be "lazy marketers", so you've got to give them great copy/marketing material once you've gotten them into your program, and make it simple for them to promote.

Have you gotten listed with all the affiliate program directories? Just google the term and work to get listed in those as well.

Also, if I'm a potential affiliate wanting to promote your product, and I land on easycashsurveys.com, I will go away without signing up, because there's no link to sign up for your affiliate program from your site.

Putting a little "affiliate program" link somewhere at the bottom of the page will bring you affiliates if they land on your site and want to promote your product. It's the first place I look to see if a site has an affiliate program.

Now honestly I now nothing about creating tools . I would not even now how to make an affiliate package for this or any other product for that matter .

I see it being done but just can not grasp the concept on how to do it . I now most people are lazy as well . So how would I make it so they can get tons of traffic with being lazy ?

Trying to compete based on price is a fool's game. There are other, better ways to set yourself apart than being the "cheapest". You probably need to work on your USP a bit because competing on price is usually a really nasty road to go down.

"Feelings" and "pretty sure" don't mean crap. What matters is PROOF - solid, hard, irrefutable evidence. Conversions of 20% are VERY rare and if you can do it then maybe you should start charging thousands of dollars for copywriting, because most people are happy with 2%, let alone 20%.

There's a difference between "overcharging" and "adding value and getting paid what you're worth". We live in a capitalist society. If people don't think it's a fair price, they won't pay. Supply and demand and all that. Free enterprise. Let people vote on price with their wallets.

You have to learn. All you need to do is use some promotional emails you would write but let them use their own name and affiliate link. Put say five of them up and you've got a start. Check out what other people are doing.

Some other points:

You're making this personal, and wanting to do things your way. Don't. There are a lot of experienced Warriors here offering you much better advice (and just so we're clear, I'm not referring to myself). Everything in this game should be based on facts, figures, and logical decisions, not emotion. Offer a risk-free guarantee for your customers and it doesn't really matter what kind of offer you make, because if it's not fair you'll either get no sales or a lot of refunds.

You need to make it attractive to affiliates. If 50/50 really is the best you can do then you better have an amazing sales page with PROVEN, SOLID results OR you may as well give up on getting an affiliate team right now, because I don't think many people would be willing to promote that unless you had a backend.

P.S. Having had a look at your site, I'd be amazed if it converted at 2%, let alone 20. Now, given, this is not my niche and I'm far from even being an "average" marketer, but simply as a consumer, it didn't grab me. From the perspective of a potential affiliate, not something I would promote.

Is it about quantity? I believe it's the quality of affiliates that matters. So, you just need to find people interested in your niche and explain your benefits to them. It's a manual work. You may want to search forums for people who ask questions like "advise on a good affiliate program for XXX" and patiently explain your stuff to them. Many products are being promoted this way.

You don't need to offer 100% commissions to get affiliates.

I have over 1000 actively promoting my products on two networks.

At least 3/4 of them are customers that joined after buying.

Having a great product people want to share is how you get affiliates to join and do the work to go out and really promote the product.

I agree with Dan-

Put a link on your download page for people to sign up to your aff program (paydotcom gives you that link).

It can't be easier than that. If they know the product is awesomely priced and good of course they'll tell others. Unless you make it too difficult and not worth the $6 bucks they'll get after expenses... (if it's worth $14.95 it's probably well worth $24.95 too)
