Hey people;

Appreciate your wisdom. I am 36 y.o. guy.

My skills and assets:
  1. Coding abilities
I'm software engineer, I can code fast. Everything most fellows need Wordpress, I can do fast without. Email scripts, Clikcbank apis,,funnel designs etc etc
  2. 25 k savings (not much I know chill)
  3. 2 good quality video programs on dating niche I am thinking of vendoring. They are on S3 and a working membership site (no one knows they exist)
  4. 5 hours a day free time
  5. Some background doing D Kennedy courses when I was doing MBA. I understand marketing, ok with copy writing etc etc
  6. I like saying etc etc
What I don't have:
  1. Experience
  2. Mentor
  3. Traffic
  4. List
  5. Wife
  6. Affiliates
  7. std
I have some general ideas and a plan. If you were in my situation, how would you enter IM world.

Thanks and kisses

Well, first of all, you don't need a wife to get into IM!
And second, why not take the first step and start somewhere, anywhere! What interests you? What would you think would work best for you? Anyone can get into IM, the challenge begins only after you start doing it!

Coding abilities can come in handy, Try finding someone that needs a software, then charge them for the service of coding it. Or you could create a software, wp plugin... and find someone that wants to launch that with you.

Hi George, hope you're doing great. It bring smile on my face while reading your thread, if you intended it that way then thanks....no wife, no std...lol. Anyways, if I consider this thing then you have a nice conversation skills which will help to manage your team and attract new members., which will in turn bring you more money.
You have coding skills already hence you can make a nice and attractive and innovative websites and other business tools required to succeed. You can save a lot of money there as well where people outsource these kinds of jobs and still not get the satisfactory results. However, you can implement all the ideas you will get according to your business needs easily.
Although any time you invest in your business is less still you have quite a sufficient time to devote to your business.
25K is in which currency I can not guess but if you utilise your money judiciously it should be a lot more than enough initially and rest you can invest along the way when you start getting profits from your business.
These are the general sources you indicated and so it can not be said which business you will be interested in or will suit you. However, if I consider above things, in my opinion a Network Marketing Business would be suitable as it does not require high investment, you already have conversation skills (although you also need other soft skills). It generates Passive and Residual Income, you do not have to worry about payment processing or delivering the products etc.
    Wish you luck!

The Line to follow entering IM is simple yet not known to many. Now the start point I recommend CPA offers with some paid traffic. then affiliate offers with paid traffic. During this stage you will have learnt the market, the problems you will have faced will also help you provide some sort of solutions. You will have learnt what is converting. With this you can do your own high converting product or a solving software. At this stage the earning potential is sky high. I kno people who make mil on launch of a software. I hope this helps you.

If I were you, George, I'd look into affiliate marketing in the dating niche. Get a few websites generating a high, stable income, and then take it from there. It's really essential to have regular income coming in. That way you can relax and concentrate on other opportunities.

      Hi Tom;

Even as a vendor? Are you telling me to be affiliate? How about my product? Wouldn't it be a better idea to learn how to make money from that?

      Thank you Tom

Don't get into MLM....that just makes NO sense

You have the ability to build a good website so do it then as suggested get into some affiliate programs....dating ones would be good if that is what you want to eventually sell

the idea of "your product"?? I don't understand how people want to just jump into that

IMHO you should learn how to run your website then if you want make your membership site ...then if this works for you , you may be able to put together a program for others to follow

You need to sharpen your skills, pay your dues IMHO.
As you go along maybe you will also find a need and a "way" around it and develop an app and be able to sell that.

      Hi George,

I'm not sure anyone understood that you owned the dating products mentioned in your OP.

      I know that I didn't.

I do think this is probably the best first step for you simply because, as Tom indicated, the entry barrier is so low and you can start generating a little income very quickly.

Beyond that, understand that even after you are selling your own products, your customers will be ripe for any related offers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with supplementing your product earnings with affiliate offers from others. So why not get that affiliate marketing side of the business started now, simply because it does get you moving so quickly.

Another important benefit to selling other people's products first, is that you get exposure to others in your niche that will have buyers list in that niche from the products that they have sold. Build solid relationships with them and you'll find that it is much easier to get them to promote your products when you do get ready to release them

I'm not sure how to address that statement except to say that someone elses lack of understanding something should have absolutely NO bearing on what is the right course of action for you.

Besides having a "head start" in the dating niche, your coding skills give you the opportunity to create all kinds of marketing "tools" for internet marketers. There are tons of niches in that market, and you could work that side of the fence, as well.

IM has a really low barrier to entry. No specialized experienced need, generally low start up cost, all you really need is your laptop with internet access and your basic criteria has been filled.

From what you mentioned, sounds like you are ready to go into the dating niche. Although you've already got 2 quality videos on hand, my advise would be to actually get your hands dirty and market other people's products first to get a better understanding of the market.

Successful merchants have the "right stuff" going on for them. Marketing for them will get you more familiarized on what works so that you can eventually add in those elements to your own product. It always easier to start from the ground to know what people want, rather than from the top and wonder why no one signs up.

    Hi man,

If you´re just starting out, what I recommend is to NOT buy every "RICH QUICK" program of software you find.

I´ll stay with mentors like: Dan Kennedy, Frank Kern, Rich Schefren (From Strategic Profits), Andre Chaperon. And everything you can get from great copywriters like Gary Bencivenga, Gary Halbert, John Carlton, and others. They´ve got a great understanding of how to bring in the money.

If you like a good overview of the IM whole process, I recommend the new "free" book from Russell Brunson here: https://dotcomsecretsbook.com/get-it-free

It is perfect to get a birds eye understanding of how the whole IM marketing process really works.

I then would focus on promoting affiliate offers. If you´re looking for a step by step program you could use on your free time, I recommend you checking Tiny Little Businesses — Learn by Doing

I would also recommend reading "Lean Startup" for a good understanding of how you should be looking at new ventures, reducing your risk at the minimum so those 25K savings just don´t go to waste.

    Hope it helps.

With the skills and assets you have, you're probably ahead of 80% of this forum lol. So if you want to make it in IM, don't let anything stop you

Now... if you'd rather find a wife... i know a guy who has 2 good quality video programs in the dating niche!

I'm sure many people on here would be happy for you to take their wife in return for your 25k savings, and their STD for free

The short answer - IM is for EVERYONE who is in business in any way, it's just that some people don't realise it.

Just about every business person in any country where the internet is available, which is most, is either involved in internet marketing, or is going out of business.

I had an experienced (I don't want to upset anyone by saying "old" ) guy phone me today who has just realised this, he's in one of the most obscure businesses you can imagine, to do with the treatment of textiles, and he had not considered the web since he had his website built a decade or so ago, until a customer contacted him today to point out that when someone searches online for his type of searches (something he hadn't thought that people were doing) they don't find his site and even if they did, he has the wrong info on there as he's moved since and changed his telephone number...

It is the age of the internet, if we're involved in marketing - then we're involved in internet marketing.

The question is of course, what is it that you have of value to offer - figure out what that is, and market online, simple.

Wordpress is huge and is becoming more so all the time, not just blogs but lots & lots of business websites are built in wordpress, so if you're a coder with a particular passion for wordpress, I can't see it being a struggle for you in terms of finding a potential market.

      Great skills to have!
[*]25 k savings (not much I know chill)
It's not about what you have - it's about what you do with what you have. And if you have no debt and are on the 25k + side you are better off than a LOT of people.

[*]2 good quality video programs on dating niche I am thinking of vendoring. They are on S3 and a working membership site (no one knows they exist)
Well, you have 3 choices with those. Fire them up and run them, sell them, or do nothing. Kind of a shame if you sit on them and do nothing.

[*]5 hours a day free time
2 hours is enough if used daily to do quite a bit extra stuff.

[*]Some background doing D Kennedy courses when I was doing MBA. I understand marketing, ok with copy writing etc etc
      Education never ends.
      [*]I like saying etc etc
      Who doesn't?

      What I don't have:

      [*]Experience
Experience with actually marketing online? Are you not already selling your current services with coding? If not, perhaps you should start there.
      [*]Mentor
Well, Your studying of Dan K could be considered a mentor. Do some serious searching and find someone whose business model you can pry into - they can be a mentor for you as well.

      [*]Traffic[*]List
Why would you need traffic if you are not actively promoting something? Get something up first.

The list is pretty simple to get started - and you'd need traffic to that if you decide to launch one of those products you have.

      [*]Wife
I'm sure a lot of people would say you're better off without one, lol, and trust me, once you get one that "5 extra hours a day" will turn into a negative number. But if you're insistent, then perhaps spend a couple of hours a day getting yourself out there to find one. If it still looks hopeless, you can always invest that 25k into a foreign brides site.

      [*]Affiliates
I'd test the product first to give potential affiliates some data to go by.

      [*]std
Nice to see you end on a positive note.

I have some general ideas and a plan. If you were in my situation, how would you enter IM world.

      Thanks and kisses
Well, there is DIY or hire someone to launch and push product for you. Could be a JV venture if you have most of the pieces in place.

Don't know how much you want to push those products you have. Don't know how much of that free time you want to occupy. Don't know how much money you'd be willing to invest to test the market and/or hire a partner.

JV could take care of the marketing, list, affiliates, etc and could be worked out where they get a percentage of the sales as commission.

I'd depend on how much my heart was into the niche itself - but if product is great and I just wanted to see it go I'd go JV route to let it fly.

      Thanks for the kisses!

It requires an insane amount of persistence. Just insane. Compare this to a normal job. Sign your name and you have guaranteed income. It's just so much different and it's not for most people.

If it's the vision of quick, easy money that attracts you, you won't get it.
If it's the dream of freedom that attracts you and you're dedicated to put in hard work for it...do it.
