Wix Sites

Hi Folks

I have heard that wix sites are not ranked well in google and I am posting here to find out if anyone knows any site that has been made in wix and getting huge traffic from Google Search Engine? Or maybe any sites that has a blog in wix?

Would be great if I can get a support

    I too am interested in building a website using Wix. Wordpress.org is the way to go if you want to establish for a long run.

    I don't see why a wix website wouldn't get ranked. They do have settings to let you set titles, meta descriptions..etc. Their website builder gives you options to add ALT tags to images as well, I believe. From what I've seen with Wix in the past they should be able to rank just like any Wordpress site would.

      My question is, is it good for long run? Lets say you start making money and all of the sudden they lock your account.

    I've yet to hear anything good about Wix. The only trouble with proprietary software is once it gets discontinued, you're up the creek - especially if you can only access it online.

    Get yourself a domain and hosting, and install WordPress to build your site. It's more expensive, but it will pay dividends in the long run.

      Like @spearce000 said, it can be good for SEO probably just as well as a self-hosted Wordpress website. SEO is however not the only thing you have to take into consideration. If you have the means and skills to use self-hosted Wordpress instead of WIX, go for that. You will have full control over it, which means safety in the long run.

    I dont use Wix for built good, propitiate sites. Only when it is needed landing page or small site for short period.

    My website is done on wix and so far I dont have any problems. It's only 48 days but still, i have less ranking. I mean absolutely no ranking. I am hoping after 90 days to see how it works.
    so far google has indexed more than 298 pages of mine and i dont get much traffic from google itself though

    Weebly is another web 2.0 that can help you get more ranking in SEO

    Is also a great website builder to build landing page, etc.

    But if you want to build a real business, is more recomend that you use Wordpress.org
