I submitted my articles to ezinearticles 9 days ago, and they are still in the pending initial review stage. This is my first time submitting to them so does anyone know the problem?

Yes, they are slow because they receive thousands of articles a day and most of them are garbage but some of them are really, really good

  • Unfortunately, you are going to have to deal with this until your membership gets upgraded. It is part of "paying your dues," I guess. We all had to go through it.

They should go live Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

9 days seems like a long time for me, even with a new account, but I'm a platinum member and I've been waiting on an email from them for about a week now myself. I guess they might be experiencing some seriously heavy volume at the moment.

I had my first 5 articles approved 2 weeks ago, the last two of which were met with minimal delay (1-2 business days). A few days ago I decided to send another one in, and it's been 5 days with no progression past stage 1: initial review.
So yes, I do think they are experiencing unusually high volume at the moment.

Your first articles can take up to 2 weeks.

Once Platinum, it's a few days to one week lately.

    Cheers,

A colleague of mine ubmited 5 article in one day (couple of hours between each) and they all got posted within 3 days - it was his first submission.

I posted 2 articles last week and like you, I am still waiting for the mail.

Approvals are subject to your status, I would be suprised if as a new joiner you where already at platinum status to be honest.

Once you work through the first 2 or 3 stages you then get approved to platinum at this point there are no limits on the number of articles you can submit and approvals are quicker.

Approvals generally are always going to be subject to your status and of course the volume of submissions the team at eza ae working through.

My advice is read and follow the editiorial guidelines so your articles are approved without delay

    Be patient and keep writing

2 weeks does seem like a long time, but it should/will get faster as you get going.

If you're doing article marketing you should consider trying out Matt Callen's My Article Network. I find it to be a great supplement to the ezines. As you'll see it'll take much less time to have your article picked up.

I should stress however that I find it more effective using this service supplementing your other article marketing efforts.

I should also point out that the above mentioned MyArticleNetwork concentrated only on posting on blogs that are in the MyArticleNetwork-system. I think there's a 14-day free trial, but I don't seem to be able to find the link right now.

HUH!! 2 weeks that seems to be a long time. Ezine generally dont take so much time. I think you should contact Ezine support tem once.

Else just have patienece and keep waiting.

It's probably because you are a new member
and they tend to put your articles on the bottom
of the pyle so to speak.

They will get to it eventually, but they will move
the premium members ahead of you.

    Be patient.

I agree with wolfejon61. That is way too long for them, even as a brand new member. Never hurts to ask what is going on. In the meantime, keep writing. Once you reach your first ten articles you are automatically upgraded.

Go into your accocunt. Make sure that they are not marked as "problem articles". Sometimes they have problems with the articles which you need to clear up. YOu might have missed their email. So just make sure it is still "pending review" and not "problem".

It's part of the process, unfortunately.

I've been submitting to EZA for several years now. I get approved in about
2 or 3 days (things have been slow lately)

Ironically, I submitted an article to another directory I just started with
and they said it could be 4 to 6 weeks before I am approved.

Wow...how spoiled we get when we have preferential treatment from one
source. By the time that article is approved, it won't be news anymore.

That's just the way it is and we have to learn to deal with it.

It is obvious cause they have lots of lots of articles in que so it may happen. Wait for few more days and still the same than give try contacting the administrator.

I thought they used to take maximum 72 hours to process any articles. If something slow like this happens then it's bad or business. And getting lots of articles per day would be a lame excuse for that.

The same thing happened to me when I first signed up. I thought there was a problem and sent them a message. But, by the time they got back to me, my articles were live.

You have to be very patient with them at first. The longer you're a member and the more you submit, the quicker they get.

    Good luck

They usually authorise within a few days, but in the last week they have been really slow, so perhaps their moderators are on holiday or there is a rise in submissions?
