Whats the best way to monetizing a domain with 10K exact match google searches?

I own a .com/.org and .net domain name which corresponds to a disease. Ie. HipPain.com (not my domain) . The domain gets approximately 10K exact term google searches per month. I am wondering what the best way monetize this sort of web property is. As i have found out the hard way relying on organic search visitors is a difficult business model im looking at other methods to make this domain into something. Would you all have any suggestions of how else i could monetize the domain name other than just posting information about the disease on the .com domain and waiting for organic hits and selling ads. Do you think having a exact .com match for a term with 10K exact term searches is worth anything? (The suggested adwords bid for the exact term that i have the .com domain for is $1.10). Thanks for your help.

You are partially right about relying on search traffic. Yes, it can be very risky to put all your trust into Google and hope they keep ranking you.

HOWEVER, it doesn't mean you shouldn't take advantage of what they're offering you right now. Each visitor they're sending you is a potential subscriber to your email list. Get them to opt into it.

If you don't own any list(s) yet, get to work! Email marketing is STILL one of the most lucrative methods available for internet marketers. The reason is the possibility to pitch offers to people you've already paid for, over and over (and over )

Personally I will be all over Organic traffic. Don't worry about future Google updates. As long as you are operating above board and providing value to visitors you will be fine. First thing I would do is devise a content strategy (both for the site and email). Launch the site with plan of providing value and content on a regular basis and start list building. You are going to want to take advantage of all those exact match searches. Good luck.
