Best Ways to Start Selling a New Product

What's up Warriors!

This is my first post here

If you have experience in marketing products and have a free moment to reply to this, I would greatly appreciate it!

So, my situation is this:

I created a product in the Fitness/bodybuilding niche (very competitive..yeah..who cares..) and I have everything set up from a blog to video sales letter to autoresponder series to opt in pages with the opt in bribes. I also had FB ads up but my account got banned for the second time now..Even when my ad was completely appropriate.

As i'm a complete beginner in the internet world what comes to selling products, I can say that I'm pretty confused as to what i should be spending my time on at this stage of infancy.

The question is, what are the 80/20 actions I should be focusing my efforts on right now to start building my list and, selling my product and making new clients?

and should I try to get free traffic? if yes, how? Clickbank? Jv deals?

Thanks so much!

Before you do any of that, instead of simply writing off the reason as to why you had your Facebook account banned, (for the second time),
I would take a serious look at your products, presentation, strategies...

My guess is that your ad, or presentation, might not have been "completely appropriate". But in order to be able to see it, one has to become a bit more open to feedback. Account bans are usually a sign of something wrong.

My first ad was inappropriate because I was ignorant to the rules. But now I know them and my new ad that I posted couple of days ago was appropriate and under the guidelines.

The reason for my account ban was ''We have detected unusual payment or login activity on your account. As a result, your payments have been disabled to protect your personal and financial information.''

As Arnold mentioned - you want to try and get to the bottom of why the abnormal activity warning came up on FB. You ideally don't want to just dismiss this avenue as FB is quickly becoming one of the most important ad networks for sure.

In addition to ads though you can:

    1. Create a series of videos on YouTube that ideally provide value around specific bodybuilding frustrations and solutions that will begin to build a following/audience where people will follow you and click back to your site

    2. Build social presence by watching/listening/searching for bodybuilding conversations and insert yourself into those conversations - you can use Twitter, Instagram while you sort out your FB issues. Instagram is a growing platform for fitness/bodybuilding content and mindshare

    3. Produce some content with a combination of your own blog, syndicated (other blogs and/or places like Medium) that will help you get more traffic to your content some of which will come through to your websites

Work hard on getting testimonials and case studies as these can be turned into very influential content and sales funnel tools.

Basically all you have is an offer...

So if you don't have much money I'd try to get a few people to test your offer for you.
Maybe you barter your services for traffic or do something for someone first.

Once you get a few sales, dump that money into making the product better and convert higher...

Get a few more people to promote. Once you have some solid numbers from a few affiliates you can take those stats to bugger fish to get them to promote your offer as well.

Since you're in the health space specifically, most of the highest converting offers have a VSL and a sales letter. Make sure you have both in place BEFORE you approach affiliates.

Build your facebook fan page, too. You'll probably get the best results by focusing on your brand (whether that is a line of products you are building, or whether you as a person are your brand) instead of on a single product.

That's certainly not a piece of be-all-, end-all advice. But it's going to help you build your brand, and help you get people interested in what you have to offer, and even help you keep your Facebook ad costs down!

I also have a blog on health and facebook promos, really competitive for the ads and everything, tends to be a more expensive niche than marketing, but that only means there is money to be made right?

For the issue about your ads you contact the marketing team on facebook with a ticket, they respond in about a day (my experience) and are willing to help you solve your doubts, having a banned ad after facebook first authorize it might be a sign of people complaining to it, just a thought, contact them.

For everything else, seems you like to be on top of things! very nice and congrats.

  • Hello peakdesire

First try to understand what is the real reason why FB has blocked the page, then begins to share quality content of your products on Twitter, YouTube and other social; gives the product to 3/4 people willing to try and release you a true witness, the bottom line is you have to create a community that has confidence in you, the product comes next.

You mentioned you have "opt in bribes" completed.

In addition to all the great suggestions I see out here, you might also work hard to get your free offers handed around.

Think in terms of giveaway events, FB page contests to get a free copy of "xyz", free ebook distributors and share with jv's to add to their bonus banks.

Make sure your giveaway product links back to your paid products and services, too. This could generate sales, and will build your brand over time.

Start recruiting affiliates if you're trying to have a massive launch. Affiliates will help you send traffic to your product, thus helping you build up a buyers list. Make sure your copy converts and that you have an awesome offer.
