First off, hi everyone,

I was hoping I could get some advice on the best way to start out, I work full time so will only be able to work evenings/weekends but I am prepared to work hard to achieve a second income.

I have played around with niche content sites in the past, I have also made forums and directories (The Tattoo Directory - United Kingdom was my last project but I didn't feel it had a future - RECENT LISTINGS ARE SPAM OFCOURSE ).

Is adsense dead now? I had more fun making content sites but if they are a thing of the past I would be really interested if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance guys, Jack

Adsense is not dead but it requires to get good amount of traffic for decent earning. I suggest you to start clickbank affiliate website. These sites are easier to make in little time. With little targeted traffic you can earn good money. If you need step by step guide to earn money from clickbank as an affiliate please follow my link in the signature.

I always suggest people start with affiliate marketing. Less risk and a good way to learn how it all works. Not to mention lower responsibility. One thing I miss about it. Sounds like you already know that model.

Narrow your niche as much as possible.

Never been a big fan of adsense. It usually pays pennies per click, VERY low converting and can close or ban your account with little reason or notice, and no recourse. You can make so much more with good affiliate programs. Push recurring and you could make even more. Plus with affiliate programs you can test and tweak your ads to earn more. With adsense your locked in.

    Hello Jack
Working only in the evening or on weekends just to get a second income, as long as you're really ready to work as hard as you said.

You can get excellent results with the right affiliate programs.
You can earn more and more experience and improve your ads.

    Good job.

As long as you are willing to put the needed effort into your project you stand a chance. However, as stated above It requires a good amount of traffic usually for an AdSense website to make decent money.

It would be better to stick to a niche that you know well and can keep motivated with and use affiliate marketing ads that offer products or services that are related to your particular niche.

Whenever I have started out a new website and I am just working on getting the needed traffic, affiliate marketing seems to do best and can also pay much more than AdSense.
