before i write another 100 articles.......

Hello everyone i am a newbie in need of some advice

I started a new site last week and now plan to write 100 articles over the next month. what is the best article

writing advice you can give me of the top of your head. I know basic stuff like having the keyword in the title and

having a good resource box. I am looking for the finer points of article writing

I asking this because i also wrote 100 articles for my last site and have had very limited results with them. I only

get about 10 hits a day and have only made 5 sales in four months. So i'd like to do better this time around.

I also want to know is it worthwhile to submit your site to website directories and RSS directories. I have seen it

mentioned that i should submit to a 100 of these sites. Will this be worth while and can i do them all at once or

should i do a few a day.

Lastly does anyone know why yahoo would strip out links in yahoo answers. When i put links in my answers it changes

them to text

it does this when i use href tags AND when i just write them. The links are fine in the preview section but as soon

as i submit they are displayed as normal text

thanks for your time

    Writing an article.

    Identify the problem
    Identify the solutions
Identify your experience and/or thoughts on the solutions
    Conclude the article.

Yahoo answers is a reputation builder for me.

Answer relevant questions and leave a link to your sites in your profile.

Look at your post. It's poorly formatted. You don't use caps where appropriate. There are grammatical and spelling errors. It's a mess. If your articles are like this, it's no wonder they aren't effective. Nobody will want to read such stuff. Get in the habit of doing a good job. Good Luck!

Select the topic first and then select the keywords regarding the topics. After that you need to organize them in such a way so that it work as a mirror of your thought regarding the topic. Furthermore good word selection skill should have and I guess you already have that.

I've found that the keywords you target are the absolute key to the whole thing.

If you don't do your keyword research properly, your article will not be found and it won't matter how good the article or resource box are.

Only getting 10 hits a day from your previous 100 articles seems to indicate that maybe you need to refine the keyword research part of the equation.

You definitely need to do the keyword research first before you write your articles.

Go to Ezine Articles and look at the most viewed and most published articles in your niche - can you learn anything from them?

With Yahoo Answers you should only put links in the Resource Box at the end.

Write articles with minimum 500 words.
Don't put more than 2-3 links into the article.
Don't promote more than one offer per article.

Submit your site only to relevant sites
Submit your article to relevant article directories

Maybe you should consider writing only 75 articles and using the time you save to make relevant, in-depth comments on topic-relevant blogs.

Here are a few good tips you might like to consider:

In the intro: tell them what you are going to tell them in the article.
    In the body: tell them!
In the sumary: tell them what you told them!

Bio box: give them a sentence or two about you....then lead into your proposition....this is most commonly done like this:

"Did you find those tips on xxxx useful? You can learn more about how xxxx can help you to xxxx here."

I give full credit to Travis "Mr Bum Marketer" as these words are taken from his Article Writing Basics almost to the letter. Thank you Travis. (No, I am not an affiliate or on commission!) He is a great guy.

    Hope that helps you

I think Jaideep is right. You might want to think about outsourcing. Maybe not all of them, but at least some.

If you're an inexperienced writer, it's going to take you a very long time to write them all. You'll always get far better results from well researched quality articles.

    Good luck

You need to put time and effort into doing proper keyword research first. There is no point writing 100 articles based on an unresearched keyword. The keywords should have:

    -> Good traffic
-> Be relevant to what you are trying to promote and vice a vera
    -> Be commerically viable
    -> Have little competition

Worry about your keywords first before you start writing your articles. Then make sure your article contains quality content with a good hook to make them click through your affiliate link.

As others have mentioned here, if you do the 'right' keyword research, you've already won half the battle. I've asked the same questions as you and some of the responses here are excellent. But I recently posted a thread on keyword research here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-keywords.html . Hope it helps.

I still have yet to plunge into article marketing, but I would imagine one of the keys to a successful article is how professional it looks. Proper formatting, grammar, spelling, etc. are all things that subconsciously convey authority to a reader.

Also, I hear that using bulleted points helps. Most people don't want to sit and read through a dry, boring article, so if they can see from one quick glance that they will glean several useful tips from it they'll be more likely to invest the time to read through to the end.

article, bum marketing is the only thing i do, and have bought a great video tutorial on how to get better, but whatever...

If you have your market already and know what they do, think, eat, dream about, hang out, hobbies and all of that good market research... look for relevant keywords that you can use in order to target your audience..

with article marketing, unfortunately volume usually wins, you want as many eyeballs on your articles as possible...

when writing your articles you want a great enticing title, one that people would want to click on... for example

Not - "Learn to look good on camera"
good - "Discover These Secrets to Making You Irresistible Behind The Camera"

depending on your keyword - Dog Training Tips - "10 Amazing Dog Training Tips - Secrets That Will Make Your Dog Act On Command

      you get my drift...

people love tips, 10 tips, 2 tips, 5 tips and they love the word secret, something mysterious about it.. i love it and use it all the time...

don't bunch up your paragraphs in big blocks because the truth is that readers scan, they usually don't read.

and the author bio box needs to be leading and cause curiosity. you want to give them quality info, but not all of it... let them know that there is much more, and then literally tell them where to go and have your link..

these are just some of the tactics that have worked for me over the past couple months..

      I hope this helps!
