different ways of internet marketing

If there are multiple ways of internet marketing, is it even necessary to learn all the different models of marketing like sms marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, seo marketing, etc.

Is it true that if someone onnly uses one to 2 methods of marketing, that they can still make big money and not have to utilize every single method of marketing?

What I am thinking is that if you even just do i guess email marketing alone or social media marketing alone, you can still succeed in the end without having to utilize every single method.

Is this a true or false statement?

    You hit the nail right on the head, in my opinion. Specialize. Focus. Have a specialized Niche. That's where the most money is in this new economy. Doctors who specialize in a specific niche make the most money, Lawyers who specialize in a specific niche make the most money and Internet marketers who specialize in a specific niche make the most money. Period!

    Sure, it's nice to be familiar with a range of methods for general knowledge. But make it your goal to earn your money specializing in something. Seek to be a foremost authority in it. That's where the long term money is now. Not trying to know everything and be everything to everyone. That old school attitude went out with the cassette recorder, just a lot of people haven't realized it yet.

    This is really a great post! Focus is the greatest determining factor for online success. As you talked about, you need to find a few things you like and focus on them. Do Not try to learn everything as you will just get overwhelmed and give up.

    The internet (and internet marketing) is just a way of getting your message (about your product or service) to your potential customer base.

    And all those things -- social media, ppc articles and so on... -- are just different types of media within the internet marketing world. They're just an online version of flyers, TV commercials, newspaper ads.

    And as for how many you need?

    Well, how many people do you want to reach. The more people you want to touch, the more variety of media you're going to use.

    How much work (and money) do you want to put into reaching them? Do you want to put all your eggs in one basket?

    The bottom line for us all -- is we don't want to be 'internet marketers' -- we want to be business owners. And the internet is just a collection of different media types.

    Email marketing...list building is the way to go. Your building an asset for your business!!!

    After you break-even on your email acquisition cost, it's almost free traffic/money after that.

    Sure you will have some hard costs, autoresponders, hosting, tracking, etc... But it's all
    relative, in that they move up as your list(s) size does. So it remains very cost effective.

    I was lucky enough that this is how I started almost from day one. Also, don't be afraid to
    explore buying lists. Yea, most will say not to, but they just don't know how to monetize it.

    First of all, you have to be very clear between marketing and advertise. Advertise is sending traffic to your landing page and the best way to go is with ONE method only and specialize in that. Using for example social media, you can set different ads, split test and improve them every time to send massive traffic to your landing page or to your fan page until you master it. Everytime you play with it you become better and better and send more and more traffic. Mastering this only one method will be able to send tons of traffic to your page, but as I said, this is only advertising and this alone may not make you rich.
    The other part of the puzzle is marketing, and this happens when you have a good sales funnel, when you make your users to open your emails, when you create a lead magnet to pre-frame the sale to your list. When you make your leads to call to action and make a 30%-60% of open rate. This is the most important (and most difficult) part of the marketing.

    So to answer your question: it is better to go with one single method and master it. It is better to specialize in something and master it rather than knowing just a little of everything. This happens in everything, just think of a doctor. Who would you prefer, going to a general doctor who knows everything about medicine or you better go to the specialist? Who do charge you more?

    Absolutely. But you should be a shark (like me) and market yourself all over the place. You want multiple streams of traffic, and multiple streams of income.

    Back in the day some people were making $10k and above using the "Clickbank and Google Adwords" method. Until they got shut down.

    Shoot, some people make great income with WSO's alone! But that's further proof that you don't need to do everything/every-strategy that's under the sun.

    Select a business model you're comfortable with, automate it, then find another stream within the same business model to exploit (if you want to of course).
