Former marketer trying to learn

Hello everyone.

I worked as a fulltime marketer from 2007-2012. I am navigating through a new, terrible, and wonderful part of my life and want to get back into everything. I do not know where to start as much has changed. My experience is in niche marketing, social media, and white/greyhat SEO. I dabbled in several other areas too.

Today is my first day reading internet marketing related topics in years. It will take some time but I am sure I will find my way back into everything. Do to the circumstance I am in I will be starting out with very little to no money. My goal is to do what I did in 2007 and find a way to work and grind and save up enough money to get into bigger things.

With all of the information and directions I see I could go in can anyone recomend any current methods for making a quick profit? Like freelance writing is something I'm considering. There used to be so many ways to make money like posting youtube videos and directing people to CPA ads and little small things I'd do when I first started out to earn money to eat and also to invest in creating a more sustainable business.

At the moment I am looking for something to where I can just make $50 or so grinding out content or generating traffic...etc.

Would anyone be able to help me out in my ADHD and recomend something? Like a forum post or two?

I'm not looking for handouts or an easy answer. I just am ready to start working my ass off and would like to find something soon.

    Hi! I understand your situation. As you have already good experience in it, try yourself on Elance, Upwork or Odesk.

      Yeah I would go with this, you can easily make $50 a day if that is your goal, by setting up a decent profile on Elance and bidding for jobs.

    It all due respect, it seems like you contradict yourself here. I would NOT focus on making quick profits.

    It sounds like you want to make money long term. Do a search on here and just start reading some of the Threads. And absorbing some of the stuff

    People are going to answer with what worked for them.

    May not work for you.

    I'd say do a service because you can get paid at least half up front, and charge more than most products.

    An affiliate marketer would probably give you a plan for setting up an affiliate offer.

    And maybe that's where you should head after you make some startup cash.

    There's no magic, shoot-and-hit-100%-of-the-time solution.

    Pick something, set your money target, stick with it for more than three days (the average for people on this forum), and get sales conversations going with qualified prospects. That's how you make money.
