Lots of traffic, no sales

Hey guys,

I recently started facebook ads and they've been giving me some really good results in terms of traffic and the price of the traffic.

The problem is: I have already sent around 350 to my affiliate website but not a single one of them turned into a sale. Am I missing something?

The sales page is a video letter. the traffic gets send to a landing page from where it is redirected to the affiliate page.

What factors could I change in order to finally see some results?

Thanks for the help

It is difficult to say without seeing the website and the products!

I don t understand if in your landing page the visitors let you their mail - this is a great thing to
    increase conversions!

This is the website : menfitnessadvice.com/perfect-muscle-ratio (the lander)

I previously did collect emails but my conversion rate was so bad that I dropped it. The website for that was: menfitnessadvice.com/5-muscle-building-mistakes

And I like the second page man. It's colourful and easy on the eye. Try testing your ad copy and run similar landing pages together to see which one performs the best..

Here's a few things to consider. First how long have you been sending traffic to your landing page? Is it your own custom landing page or a generic one from your company or service? Try tweaking the landing page like your submit button on your opt-in form. Do little tweaks here and there on your copy. Test, test and more test till you find a winner. Just some things to think about. Hope this helps you man!

I think your old page: menfitnessadvice.com/5-muscle-building-mistakes is better than current one. Send your facebook traffic and collect email addresses. Then send them a sequence of emails to promote your affiliate product. Currently you are wasting all of your traffic. If your old email sequence was not working then focus on fine tuning them. They will work for you.

The lander isn't great. Looks like generic clipart and the header is very, very bland. I'd click off, if it were me.

As someone else said, I'd focus on getting email optins rather than sending the traffic straight to the affiliate site.

Also, 350 clicks really isn't statistically relevant enough to say whether or not you'll see success.

Try not sending them straight to the sales page. When I first started online I used to do the same thing. Collect their email address so you give yourself an opportunity to build a relationship by sending them information that gradually leads up to making the sale. Very very very few people are going to buy just from clicking your ad and seeing the product. Make them realize why they need your product. Figuring out solving the What's In It For Me? in terms of your customer.

Yes, do this. Preselling is vitally important to getting a lead ready and actually wanting to buy. Sending straight to a sales page may yield a lucky one or two over the course of a lot of traffic. I do understand when it is your own product the temptation but that fact really does not negate the necessity for preselling. Also, FB is not as simple as put up an ad and watch it go... many think this way because of all of the people available but if you approach it that way most of those people will not be the people you are looking for.

But something no one has mentioned is, who are you targeting in FB?

There are many factors that contribute to a successful facebook ads or any ads at all.
    1. Target Market
Are you targeting the right demographics?
    2. Ads Copy
Are your Ads Copy angle fit the demographics?
Do they create curiosity for your viewer to click it?
    3. Landing Page
Are they inline with your Ads Copy?
Are they inline with your Affiliate Product Landing Page?

You should look into your split test data to find out more.
How many click through do you get from the FB Ads? (350 are the ones that click through from your site to affiliate offer right?)

Most likely it's your copy or call to actions of some sort that isn't converting if you're not getting sales. You'll need to test them to really find out!

The heck with a Facebook campaign. Why not use the $20,000 solution in your signature? Your landing page is pretty ok, i would generate a lead though instead of just redirect them to the video.

    Hey mate,

Personally - I think that lander is terrible (no offence intended, just honesty). Forget about it.. focus on your "old" one, it's a much better start. That said, I still have issues with it.. specifically, these are the issues I have with it:

    1) Cartoon guy - go look at a bunch of bcaa/testosterone/whatever CPA landers.. see any cartoons? Nope! I'm a guy, I want to be buff. If I see a built guy, I think "I'd like to be like that!".. I don't want to be a cartoon... Check out this as an example: NO2 MAXIMUS

    2) The headline needs work.. Highlighting some specific words would make it more readable and easier to digest.. I'd think about adding something more specific too, eg. Mistakes? What mistakes? What's the result of those mistakes? Making a mistake doesn't necessarily matter - the result of the mistake might.. Follow me?

    Cheers,
    Michael

PS. in case you're wondering why I point at CPA landers.. it's because the best ones are split tested more than 99% of sites/pages online. Whatever they're doing, they're most likely doing a good job of it.

Create a few squeeze pages and split test them!

You can easily split test squeeze pages with a tracking tool like Clickmagick or even other tools.

Also, If you're getting people to actually click through to the offer and its not converting try a different offer or try to split test a few offers.

I know it seems like a lot of testing, but unfortunately that is what has to be done.

Obviously something isn't working and the only way you will ever figure this out is testing and tweaking your current setup.

There has been some really good feed back given in previous posts and my answer is no different to be honest, Golden rule #1 in my opinion is collect the email address before sending them to the affilliate page.

If your landing page isnt converting then you need to test and track. The true secret to generating profits (and not just sales) is delivering the right product to the right people with the right ad using the right medium at the right time -- but all of that takes time, effort and, of course, money.

In order to get there, you need to test everything.

You can test new product ideas, try new media to target your message, and experiment with new strategies. You can even try different headlines, subject lines, copy, lengths, target markets, offers, prices, etc, etc, etc.

But without properly and quantifiably tracking, measuring and analyzing your test results, you're simply losing money, visitors, customers and so much more -- right under your nose! And tracking alone is not enough...

I use Hypertracker to test whats working and not working for me, there is others out there but thats what I am using. Hope this helps and best of luck with your campaign

350 clicks is nothing, we need to know what you are selling and how you are selling it. most importantly the traffic source.

You are surely missing something, on your whole marketing strategy.
I suggest that you re-analyze, starting from ads targeting, to your site, landing page and marketing strategy. Do you think what's on your landing page is enough to convince your target audience??

  • 1) What's your email autoresponder like? How many emails? How many clicks come from your email?

Most sales won't come from the Thank You Page, most will come from the email followup

    2) What's your targeting like? Are you targeting the right audience?

Well, 350 emails without sale are not many to be a statistic, your funnel is perfect for email marketing? Maybe you have to change something in the order of email ...

It is easy to increase traffic & but is really too hard to increase sale. Such as you hire a freelancer to increase your page view, he will be able to increase. But he will not be able to increase your sell. If he can increase your sell, he never do your work, He will sell his own goods. In this case you must see the targeted traffic. You can do the SEO, Forum posting, Relevant blog commenting, article submission. By which your site page rank will increase & your site traffic also increase. In this case your sale will increase. best of luck.
