5 Top Tips To Internet Marketing Emails...

If those of you reading this are anything like me, you are probably sick and tired of having your email inbox literally filled up with rubbish internet marketing offers. Even more galling is the title of the emails that you are sent that are supposed to get you to "click" and open the email! Surely you know the types of email I am talking about. Examples like "You Don't Want To Miss Out On This", (as though it's the next best thing since sliced bread) or "This Package Is Guaranteed To Make You $1000 A Week".

You pretty much know before you open the email that the title will have nothing much to do with the product that is being pushed your way. So, that's another 30 seconds of your time wasted on puerile guff that won't do anything to enhance your web business, or help you learn something that can assist you in your internet marketing.

Why do people insist on doing this? and why can't people just be honest about what they are doing?

During my time as an online Internet Marketer, it has been my experience that people respond much better to honesty, respect and quality information.

To that end, I present my top 5 tips to Internet Marketing Emails.

1. Use Proper Email Subject Lines.
Don't mask what it is that you are selling. Make sure that you don't try and trick a person into opening your email with false claims or inaccurate email subject lines. Those people who do open your email will more than likely never do again, and then that is a potential customer you have probably lost forever.

2. Highlight The Benefits.
Make sure that whatever it is your are promoting that you highlight the benefits of it to your list. Describe how it will help their business, or how it will enhance their website or Internet Marketing venture. Once again, do not make any false claims about the product or service you are offering.

3. Short And Sweet.
Make your email informative but to the point. Don't write a long essay going on and on about things that the reader couldn't care less about. They have opened your email because they are interested in what it is you have to offer, don't lose their attention with information that means nothing to them or they will close the email for good.
Use bullet point's to highlight relevant information. People like to see a list of features or benefits, it is easier to read, understand and remember. By the end of the email we want them to click on our website link or offer link, so the more they remember by the end of the email the better.

4. Give Value Before Selling.
When you email anyone new the first few times, don't hit them straight away with an offer or product. Make sure that you nurture and develop a good relationship with people first by giving them value. Show that you know what you are talking about by delivering useful information, tips, or free eBooks or products that might help them. This will build respect, confidence in your abilities, but most importantly it will build trust in you. If your list trusts you, they will more than likely continue to stay on your list and buy from you.

5. Get Some Feedback.
Your relationship with your list is a two way street. They are on your list and reading your emails for a reason. Ask them outright what it is they need. Do they have any particular problems with Internet Marketing that you could help with? Maybe they would like certain topics explaining, or a video demonstration of certain procedures. Even better, maybe they have a problem or situation that you already have a product or service for that can help them. Don't be frightened to communicate in this way with your list, ask them what it is they need and then provide them with the answer - which usually will result in sales.

Those are my top 5 tips to Internet Marketing Emails. I hope that this has been helpful and informative for you. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
