1. You just eliminated a large chunk of people in here who can't afford that.

2. Creating even a quality $7 product seems to be a challenge for many around here,
so how are they going to jump to creating high quality $197 product?

3. Have you actually done this $97 in targeted traffic investment to sell a $197 product a day?
(I'm going to write the answer on a piece of paper and turn it over).
When you respond with an (honest) answer, I will turn it over and see if our answers match.

I agree, this is all based on personal experienced. Although this may not be newbie friendly it surely can be outsourced. there are plenty of guys on this forum who will create $197 products for a decent price. Just being realistic.

For example, I have A $997 service that cost roughly $500 in PPC traffic to guarantee 1-2 sales. so yes, being realistic. Free traffic is not going to cut it. I rather make 1 sale at $197 rather than 20 sales at $10

I would prefer 20 sales at $10 any day for several reasons.
#1 You grow your (returning) customer base 20x faster.
#2 You get the word about your product out. Think of 2000 happy customers vs. 100 talking about it.
#3 They are less likely to complain about the quality.
#4 You don't have to compete with competitors that offer exact same crap for $97, $37 or just $7
#5 Let's be honest, very few "products" are actually worth $197. (I assume you are talking about a digital product)

Most $197 digital products are being sold to gullible newbies with shiny object syndrome, and who have no idea that the "info" (assuming an info product) is most likely available for free.

I can think of a few $197 legit products, eg. a piece of software, but certainly none of the "How to" ebooks are worth that much.

Now, what kind of a product did you suggest in the first place? You never mentioned.

Can you suggest a few legit high quality $197 product ideas?

P.S. This kind of advice reminds me of Frank Kern, who said something like this: "Create a $1997 product. Assuming your traffic converts at 1%, you only need to send 50 visitors a day to your offer and you'll make $1000 a day on average. Seems you just downsized this, without offering any useful advice at all.

I would disagree.

Most of the products at this price point comes with, to some extent, personal coaching to make up for the price.

Moreover, If purchasing a $197 product saves me days of testing/deveopment/manual work, then surely it would be worth it.

Why do you think people are paying hundreds (thousands?) per month for various digital services? It's because in the bigger picture, that product is immensely helpful to them.

Imo, the only thing that makes a $197 product worthless is if you know enough about a topic before purchasing it. The you'd be disappointed that you learned nothing new.

If, lets say tomorrow, I want to start a book keeping company, I'd have NO IDEA what this business is and how to run it. Instead of hanging out at forums for months, differentiating between good info and shit info, I'd be better off purchasing a highend training program that shortcuts me to success.

In that scenario, The price is well worth it.

However, If I decide that I don't know enough and go and buy another High End product, I'd be disappointed. Hope you get the point.

I agree, but this is for slow people who can't learn from textbooks, written by specialists and authorities, which are readily available on almost any subject.

If you want to learn about book keeping you buy
"Mastering Book-keeping: A Complete Guide to the Principles and Practice of Business Accounting"
paperback for $20 or Kindle for $13. Just a random example.
I absolutely agree that you don't have to spend months on internet to find the information for free.
But the idea that you can buy a book or a textbook written by a trained specialist on the subject for $20 instead of buying the same thing from some get rich quick IM artist for $197 seems alien to you.

Instead of buying a $197 course on how to trade on stock market from some internet marketer who has never traded himself and repeats what everyone else teaches, you can buy a book written by Peter Lynch, a guy who actually has the experience.

And so on ...

Your idea seems nice but sometimes it might not happen the way you want it. Spend $97 on traffic is still not a guarantee you're going to make a single sale.

However, if you can spend $97 by building your list, that will be much better because you can follow up with your customers and sell more products to them in the future.

Based on my experience, there is a time where I spend $200 traffic for a product that sell for $47 and yet I could not make a single sale.

I agree with you buddy, this is assuming you have a nice converting funnel. Trust me, you will know when you have the right funnel, you will want to purchase your own product

it takes a proven funnel. Lots of testing. But yes, once you know at what percentage your funnel converts you can easily scale and earn a few sales each day, no matter the price of your service.

With this plan I imagine you will need a decent starting capital for testing until you get this plan to actually work as intended. And, if you don't figure it out this will probably cost several thousand dollars. Seems quite risky for the average person.

Probably easier said than done - creating a product with a value of just under $200 is a lot for a digital product. Interesting but there are always other ways to market a product. Why make $100 profit, when you can make $150 or $197 profit.

No doubt the English proverb is 100% true. "It is easy to say but hard to do". You are telling to earn $100 per day is simple, but it is not easy. You should earn this amount first, then you can tell to the general user. I have been working in this field since 15th April, 2011. I know how to earn online. It is true that there are many ways to earn from online. But you have to be skilled. Without knowledge, you will not be able to earn a single penny. Some people earning $500 per day while some people can not earn $0.5 per day. It is the main difference between the Skilled & non skilled people.
So we all should learn how to work first, then should apply on the right field. Best of luck.

I think you can get that amount of earnings but not with what you have said. Nothing can guarantee that you can make a single sale even if you spend $97 daily on paid tarffic. Instead Focus on the term of "Passive income streams" or "Set it and Forget it". The best way to make that happen for you is running and maintaining several $100 a day campaigns by investing the same amount of money on developing and sharing quality content and promoting high quality products. There you will achieve great results!

I think this only applies after you're done testing your traffic, already found a good way to make conversions, and is now in the process of scaling up. But if you're just in the first phase, then this is not applicable.

This method may work for advanced marketers in the "right" niche (which will take time to determine, or money for software to tell them what it is) with a tested funnel (again, money and time to perfect it) and a quality product (money or time) and the right traffic source (also money or time) in order to make a sale every day.

For the newbie or intermediate marketer...this just won't work, because most won't have a clue of how to go about it, far less afford it. There are easier ways.
