Just checking out one of my sales sites, as it's gaining a lot of momentum SEO wise but sales have gone cold.

When I clicked the paypal "Buy" button, to see if it was still working, I realizedthe payments are no longer going to my account!

Someone created an account with my name in it, which would certainly fool any customer.

I suppose they hacked my site and quietly switched in their own button. Glad I decided to click it myself...

Yours is the second fraud post I've read in five minutes! What's going on, is it the end of July rush?

Thanks for the warning. I guess you just have to check your own button every few days to make sure it still works. Seems like a lot of trouble, but I guess its worth it to ensure everything stays spam free.

That's scary. I didn't realize that could happen. I feel bad for marketers that have tons of sites to go through and check the paypal buttons.

    Thanks for the heads up.

This is just a guess on my part but I bet the money isn't going into the fraudsters account. That would be shut down and legal action taken because it is easily traceable by PayPal.

I bet the guy is just stealing the buyers log in info and raiding their accounts with that log in info. All the more reason to get the PayPal security key. I've had one on my account and it has never failed me.

When you followed the fake button, I hope you didn't sign into your PayPal account. If you did change the password right away.
