    Free search engine traffic is my favorite option when it comes to speak about Free or cheap advertising methods. If you are able to convince the search engines that your website is the most relevant site for your targeted keywords, you will experience a consistent flood of search engine traffic.

    This traffic will naturally convert into revenue. You can either do the optimisation yourself for free, or you can pay someone to do it.

    The cheapest way to advertise is actually free! You can join Groups in your niche on social
    media like facebook, linkedin and Google Plus. There are automated tools out there you can use to join as many groups as possible and share your website link in them. That is how i get a lot
    of my affiliate sales. It is now very difficult to get traffic via SEO which is free traffic, as it is hard to rank
    websites nowadays on search engines except if your are targeting low competition keywords.

    There are many ways to make advertisement on internet. You can choose anyone of them. I use a freelancer to make advertisement in different place. I think it is a cheap way. I paid a small amount of money at per advertisement. It is fixed contract. So according to me, it is one of the cheapest way to advertisement. You can try for a single time as a test purpose. Thanks

    I am afraid that by focusing too much on cheap advertising, you'll get distracted from EFFECTIVE advertising...

    Focus on ROI instead.

    This means, how much BANG will you get for every AD BUCK you spend.

    That's the better way to approach online advertising.

    otherwise, you can easily fall into the trap of mistaking traffic volume with success....

    Obviously the cheapest form of advertising or promotion is with free tactics. There are tons of free traffic methods out there. Are you trying to ask with of multiple free tactics is the most effective? If you are, i would have to say it's a toss up between video marketing and forum marketing.

    just out of curiosity, how is it that you have been marketing online for over 10 years and are involved in over 50 different niche markets and dont know the cheapest way to advertise online effectively??? or at least finally decided after 10 years it might be helpful to know?

    Well I would say in using free marketing strategies. The cost is your time but even with the paid advertising there still is a time period involved in which you need to learn to optimize your campaign and traffic source until you are in profit.

    If your on a tight budget use free marketing. You know a blog, articles, forums, newsletters, classifieds and the list goes on. The key is to not advertise but provide value first and you can include a link at the end. You want to be consistent with where you are sending people. I use a combination of my landing page and a blog. Send all of your traffic to that and tie everything together.
