A Great Way To See Yourself As Others Do

Easy as pie:

1. Pretend you're a customer.
2. Load up google and enter:
yourusername site:warriorforum.com

3. Read what you see (as a potential customer) and then ask yourself if you'd still want to do business with that person.

    Interesting method.

A more data-driven approach would just be to load up your threads and check their view count.

You know you have clout when you don't talk much but people hang on your every word.

That's the secret of SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING (I count forums as part of this): INFLUENCE.

You raise an excellent point, nmwf. Too many people are either blissfully unaware or seemingly fail to care that our words on this forum - and elsewhere - amount to a resume. I do a fair bit of business with other Warriors, and before I do, I always do a little homework, a little reading.

Could not agree more. There have been a number of times I have been put off someone on a forum by the way they conduct themselves. You dont have to be a 'yes' man (or woman) but keeping within the bounds of politeness is not asking that much is it :-)
