DropShipping Via Amazon - MAJOR ISSUES

Hello,

I recently purchased a WSO and am thinking of returning it. It talks about putting ads up on Ebay and when you sell something purchase it via Amazon and send it to this person. From what I can tell there are some problems with this method.

1) When you purchase an item from Amazon and send it to the customer it will say "Amazon" and have the price you paid for it. So when the customer finds out the widget that they paid $20 from you only cost you $10 from Amazon they will be upset.

2) If the person wants to return the item, who do they contact? You as the seller or Amazon as the company who sent them the product? If they send it to Amazon they will get $10 back...how do they get the other $10 back? Ask you for it?

Has anyone found legal, ethical, and viable ways around this? Is this yet another WSO where the only person who makes money is by selling a WSO...not really using the method it teaches...

Thanks

If the buyer wants to return the item, he has to return it you directly for a refund. Amazon cannot refund him because he did not pay for the item.

Do not get between a wombat and a chocolate biscuit; you will regret it dearly!

  • Most people who buy this way through eBay will not care if the box comes from Amazon. If you come across someone who does, then just offer to pay them the difference. You are not doing anything wrong or illegal. Most people will already buy from Amazon themselves if they want to comparison shop. I've drop-shipped several times from Amazon through eBay and have never run into this issue, at least not yet. But if I ever do, then I will just offer them the difference. I believe it will happen so infrequently that it wont be worth arguing with someone over it. I also would not offer returns and they will see this on eBay before they purchase. Most people purchasing an item on eBay want it NOW and do not want to spend the time comparison shopping so they most likely will not care about what box it came in. But this is no different than when you buy something and then, lo and behold, you find the same item cheaper somewhere else. You usually just keep it and chalk it up to experience for next time, right?

Sounds like an interesting method, but it's something I would definitely notice. Especially if I opened the box and there was a lovely little Amazon invoice sitting right there with all your information on it.

I just got ripped off and here's the information of the guy/gal who did it. You'd be getting something back from me real soon..even if it's something from PoopSenders..

I'm assuming you could also get some bad reviews on eBay, right?

I believe Amazon will ship it as a gift without the invoice. It is located as a shipping option when you check out.
