Okay for whatever reason you don't want to use paypal to sell your products or well, for the most common reason which is paypal being such a total P.I.T.A !

You can now use gumroad....yay

Now before with gumroad....you can only accept credit card payments but now you can take credit payment without having anything to do with them....Paypal that is...
So go to gumroad[dot]com today....

Btw not affiliated with gumroad in any way...

If don't want to use paypal to sell digital product, I can simply use Clickbank or DealGuardian for my platform. Then I can just ask them to send check or direct transfer to my bank account.

I haven't heard of this before, so I'm a b it hesitant on this.

Thanks for the info. I always enjoy the simplicity of PayPal and don't mind the fees so much but always good to know about the alternatives.

It will be nice to know that there is a good alternative to PayPal though. Paypal can be a real pain limit or freeze your account whenever they like. Men its crazy to have your hard earned cash held from you for no just cause. Will check this out surely.

Gumroad may be a good payment processor but buyers will not trust in it, resulting in lesser sales. If you don't have paypal then use clickbank to sell your digital products.

It is always interesting to see new arrivals in the online payment arena.

Saddest thing is that just about all these new arrivals don't have staying power and rapidly fade away.

Like it or lump it, Paypal is the one to watch. I can't get enough.

Paypal is reliable and well know so this gives a buyer confidence to make the purchase but as you get more advanced you really need to think about other options.

This is especially true if you are using a sales funnel as you can really boost sales (and thus ROI) by implementing 1-click upsells and you can't do this with Paypal as you have to continuously add your payment details (AFAIK) and this kills conversions.

I use Paypal when setting up a new product but when adding up/downsells I will normally move to a different payment processor such as Samcart or Zaxaa.

I have been using Gumroad for almost a year now and I can say that it is much more user friendly for my customers than paypal was. Great alternative. Better yet, it all goes right in to m business checking.

There are many ways to make online transactions. I have been using the SKRILL since 2011 till today. The paypal is a leading site. After paypal I choose the SKRILL. there are more site, you can use. But all sites are not trusted. so you should make transaction with trusted sites only. Some fake/ spam site also available. Be aware about it. Never discuss about the SPAM site here, because the Warrior is an important place for good people. Never make any hesitation, please.

I have always used Paypal and always will. The only time that people have problems with paypal is when they try to use a personal account to conduct business. I have used them for payments to my ecommerce site for 7 years now. I am a pro member and use paypal payments with gateway. Never had a problem. All these other companies are no different than paypal, and as soon as they grow to be as big as paypal, then the same changes will take place and the same people that want to game the system will start to complain and go elsewhere.

      I'm with you Al.

Instead of telling me why all these payment processors are better than Paypal, their claim to fame seems to be that they are an "alternative".

Maybe the better course of action is to make sure they never need a different processor so that they don't have to settle for an inferior "alternative".

I was going to make a point, but you just made it for me, by answering someone who hadn't heard of Gumroad.

I am assuming that most common type consumers, (non marketer/business/film/music/author) or even some marketers for that matter, may have never heard of either Gumroad or Nathan Barry.

Paypal is more well known / popular / used online. As it stands today.
