Tips on selecting niche?

Hello WR guys,
I want to discuss a very important topic before driving in the traffic to my website. I am looking to make a local news with the worldwide updates online magazine.

So for me what niche I should focus on? as in my country there are a lot of people doesn't have their own website. If they have then they are not doing SEO.

My idea for this website was to build a huge platform for people looking for freelance jobs and by freelancers I mean Models, Promoters, Hostesses, Event Managment Companies, Artists, makeup artists, photographers etc. I want to focus event industry in UAE. But I am always confused online while watching tons of videos with a single niche.

Can someone really help me with finding or suggesting my niche? As Dubai is a hub where people are coming for events and exhibition. They are always in a hunt to find right candidates. I want to build this kind of platform.

Also, who doesn't love money? I like the idea to support Clickbank products as well. So I am planning to build a website on a domain I will use it for job portfolios and on subdomain I will be using the magazine. * One more question if subdomain is a good idea or buying another domain and use that for the magazine and find something new for jobs as the site is not ready.

    Your niche is an Online Magazine specifically on Dubai. This may still be too broad though - even risky or suicidal, depending on your competition.

    But most important, what you have to do is focus on ways to make yours unique from other competitive online magazines on Dubai. If you can't you'll have to narrow your focus or your dead. Here's a quick way to tell. For example:

    • What's unique about your content as opposed to others?
    • In what "High Demand" ways are you serving your target market that your competitors are overlooking?
    And
    • How are you communicating these to your target customers so they can understand your uniqueness, superiority or value- over your competitors?
    If you have a hard time answering the above questions you'll need to narrow your focus.

    If you narrow your focus concentrate on the areas where you can offer the "most value (you can deliver) in relation to the profit potential".

    There's a lot more I can add, but I'm sure others will have suggestions.

    I'll add my $.02.

    Make sure your end users spend lots of money. (Passionate, emotional, and frenzied buyers are always good). And make sure you know them well.

    Also, make sure you love your niche. Make sure you LIKE your end users. Would you want to spend time with your typical end user? You might have to spend your entire life around them, so choose carefully.

    A lot of people say passion doesn't matter... But I disagree. Especially if you intend on conducting the majority of the labor involved, and wish for this to be a long term endeavor.

    As far as people TELLING you what niche to select, it's impossible. You have to discover what you have the aptitude and desire to do for yourself.

    Kind of sounds like a full time job to keep it updated with the latest news. It may be a little too broad to actually make any affiliate sales with the magazine but you could always hope to make some money with adsense I guess. I had a "how to get loans with bad credit" and a "laser hair removal" website about a year ago and I wasn't able to make any affiliate sales but I was making a few bucks a click from the mostly middle eastern traffic I got from it. Keep adding content and hopefully it will work out for you though

    Your idea is good and it is huge... so you should launch the website with few categories first and then expand it. As it is a magazine site focusing on multiple categories, you will need to select multiple niches.

    Thank you everyone for all your valuable suggestions. As I couldn't find what I am more passionate about. At the moment, i don't have anything better to think!

    I want some expert advice. As what to focus when i am building my website backlinks? As i am planning to buy some backlinks from SEO but i need some SEO expert help to tell me how to focus more on to my goal.
