Desperately seeking wordpress theme!!! *HELP! Reward offered!*

Okay, here's the deal. I'm looking for a Wordpress theme that meets the following criteria, and I'm having a tough time...

- Single column (no sidebar)
- Links to posts at the bottom (news/magazine style)
- Nice looking
- Dropdown menu

If anyone knows where I can find a free version of a template like this (I need to modify it, so it has to be creative commons license) I'll give you a free lifetime membership in the membership site in my sig (worth $47/month).

I've been looking for weeks - somebody help me!

Also, it´s good to know that free WP templates can have some bugs in them, so it could be a good idea to have a professional theme with your specs coded just for you.

I know that some free themes can have bugs, I can do bug-fixes - it is the full customization that scares me

Cherilyn - go to Smashing Magazine - scroll down in the middle column till you see Free WordPress Themes. They have 1,2,3,4 links to it. Go through them. SM puts out some very high-quality stuff in its blog. You won't be disappointed.

You can also look to see if any of the 2-column themes you like have a "full page" template built in as an option. I use the StudioPress themes (not free though) and when you add a page, you can click "full width" and the sidebar goes away, making for a great sales page. You can also make that full width page the static home page using standard WP adjustments.

So maybe a few of the free themes will have that option too? It is sometimes hard to notice though as the screenshot/image of the demo sites won't always reflect that.

Another option is to use a 2 column theme that you like and just remove the sidebar section from the coding. You may then need to adjust the widths of the content in the CSS, but not too difficult.

Take a look at my info magazine themes in my sig. They're free, very simple and stripped down, intended primarily for niche marketing. However, they may make a decent base to modify from.

I don't think it has a drop down menu, but I think you can choose that option in the categories section of your dashboard - not 100% sure as I'm not editing any blogs right now. If my memory serves me correctly you can select to have the categories dislpayed as a drop-down menu.

Getting rid of the sidebar should be easy for ANY theme. You just need to create a new page template that doesn't call up the sidebar function. Any programmer can do it for you easily.

I would hazard to guess it wouldn't be too hard to remove the stylesheet elements to change the look of the site and add some drop-down effects to it.

If you do end up using that theme and modifying it to suit your needs, I'd love to get a hold of it myself.

Both Elegance and Scribblescratch look good to me, wordpress php customization can be easy or daunting depending on your skills, its easy to hire a programmer or freelancer to get it done for you.

Thanks everyone! I've gone for a different theme, unfortunately it has a sidebar BUT it can be easily edited to suit what I need, and the sidebar provides easy navigation (it isn't for a salesletter, but rather a static brochure/corporate style site).

But I did promise a free membership to the person who found something, SO - the closest one to what I wanted was the squeeze page theme (nice find!) so I'm PMing you right now with the code to get a free membership.

Thanks for all of your help, everyone - I really wish I could give out free memberships to all, but since I can't, I hope a "thanks" on every post will suffice.
