Promoting a WSO important?

Hey everybody,
I am planning on making my very first product of my own and was thinking about making it a WSO. So I was just wondering how important is it to promote a WSO?
Should I focus on getting affiliates to promote the offer or will the offer being on the Warrior Special Offer page give it enough exposure?

I'm assuming you want to make it a WSO because it's about "internet marketing".

If you're unsure about whether or not to make it a WSO, and how to market it with affiliates and stuff.... then just "how effective" are the internet marketing techniques in the product that you're about to create?

Coming from someone who has launched over 24 products on War+

Attracting affiliate will make or break your success.

The answer to your question is NO, your product will not do anything just being on the market.

I've launched 3 products here on the forum as WSO's, one of which (which was my first), had 0 affiliates promoting it. I made a decent amount of money just from it being on the marketplace, BUT, my 2nd two launches were 3x as profitable, because i had affiliates on my side doing most of the heavy lifting. The profitability of having affiliates is far greater than you can imagine right now, as being a first time vendor.

Since this is you first product, is it fair to assume that you have previously been selling as an affiliate?

If so, ask yourself how YOU found products to promote.

Maybe you just searched one of the marketplaces that typically have offers placed in the WSO section, but there are a lot of those - so what criteria did you use when making your selection? Likely, other affiliates use the same/similar criteria.

Now... does your own product meet those same criteria?

If so, you have a chance of being selected by some small percentage of other affiliate marketers - but it sounds like a crapshoot to me. Why would you limit your affiliate recruiting in that way?
