Video Marketing... What are you having trouble with?

There have been a lot of video marketing programs and video friendly changes to social media accounts that have happened recently. Video marketing seems to be an important factor in marketing today, but many people are still struggling with it.

My question to you is... what are the biggest or most frustrating issues you're having with video and video marketing today? These can be anything from creation to selling with video.

Thanks!

My frustration is video authority video.

My video can be the best one out there, but can be consistently outranked by people who copy and paste other videos and drive hundreds of thousands of fiverr backlinks to them.

What are you trying to rank for? Are you sure the fiverr backlinks are actually ranking other peoples videos? and that's what they are specifically doing?

I generally don't even worry about competition because I use video for building my brand, increasing time on site and building my list.

I think the best way to use video is to just be yourself, embed your video into your blog post and then share both the video from YouTube and your blog post across social media.

Be sure to optimize the video; i.e., use annotations, make sure your blog or website is added to your account as an Associated Website, so you can link it inside of your videos.

Make sure you have a good description, a link to your blog inside the description, and the correct tags.

I think the biggest thing for video is to just be consistent and make it relevant to your niche.

        I think that covers it!

Thanks ksmusselman, but the topic was what frustrations you're having with video... what issues or frustrations are you having with the way you are or want to do video?

            I'm a little slow today.

My first videos were created using either slideshows or screencasts so I didn't have to worry about lighting or how I looked.

One of my biggest frustrations is still not having the "right" video camera and proper lighting to create better videos. I'll get there, but that's one of my frustrations.

Initially I was frustrated with my weight and how I'd look on camera. I kind of got over that. People don't want to look at me, fine.

Like icoachu says, the bottom line is getting the tags and categories right. After that, the annotations and optimizing the description, which a lot of marketers still don't do.

I'm in the IM/MMO niche, so the sheer volume of videos in this niche that are uploaded daily is a pain to compete against since every other marketer is blasting their videos with fiverr backlinks, retention views, and artificial likes, it's like a never ending race to rank. Worst part of all it's like this even with unique content.

It's all about the tags and categories you use

You might have the best quality materials in the world if you use the wrong tags and miscategorize your stuff, you have one hell of an uphill battle

With that said, you still have to produce quality UNIQUE videos though

Forget about what you've heard here re using all sorts of scam text to video software or autoimage software.

    Shortcuts don't work

Video marketing isn't a really big part of my business strategy (it will be in the future) but one thing that's HOT right now is video on facebook. I've noticed I'm getting a lot of organic reach on facebook when I upload video natively. YouTube is obiviously a great platform for video but don't ignore video on facebook,it's hot right now!

So are videos that are uploaded directly to FB getting better traction than simply sharing a YT video link on FB?

Pardon me for being slow on the uptick here; I'm kind of sick today.
