Hey guys,
I stumbled across an affiliate program that offers $500 per sign up.. actually it's $250, then $250 if they stay in. Problem is that I am very new to IM. I have a few failures under my belt, but not too many skills. No real successes.
This is in a very competitive market. Per click on Google is $5.00 to $6.oo for the hot keywords. This company is on P.1 of google search. The competitors are well financed companies. I think this company is the only one offering an affiliate program in the field. Looks like they are not too invested in the social sites however. Hmm. The products appeal to teenagers, but Mom and Dad would have to buy it. Conversion rates are probably low, I don't know.

What do you think? Is it better to try something where competition is not so fierce? This looks like a pool full of sharks. I would definitely need an edge. Better to try to sell lots of small items, rather than a few big ones? Should I try a landing page, presell, and throw a big effort into getting tons of traffic?
What is your hit on this? ...Appreciate it. Ed (person)

Bud honestly if your very new to marketing in general I would advise you to
learn how to untilize free marketing strategies such as some article marketing, SEO, social media.
Another thing I would start with an affiliate program where you dont need 500 dollars to start....

    Hope this helps..
    Good Luck

Thanks for the insights. By the way the affiliate program is free to become an affiliate, but pays $500 for each customer sign up.

Wow! Only a fool would pass on that offer...but only a fool would also believe it outright..

I've once enrolled in a program where the site gives out a very high pay for sign-ups and more for opening emails..their payout was at 8,500 euros if I can remember correctly..then after several months I came across a forum discussing if it's a scam..turns out it is..and it's name when converted to english is exactly "The scam"

They were making money from people who were paying for premium memberships..who knows what they were doing with the person's credit card information..

If something is too good to be true then maybe it is..

    just my .02

    To Your Success!
