In my opinion the best coaching in the beginning,is self coaching. Most people don't need hand holding until they know a little bit about what they want to do, have started down that path, and start running into problems.

For example, you can read for free about how to set up a squeeze page or you can learn the same exact stuff (with little to no secrets added) from a coach that charges money. Why not get one set up and see what happens? Why not try and get some traffic to it? Why not start getting your autoresponder sequence in order?

Then, when you run into problems you can ask here and/or pay someone to help you.

True.. you need to start doing before you know exactly what you don't know. The coaches most likely will only give you a generic guideline or blueprint and still expects you to take action. Imho, what the coaches teaches may not be best suit for you and you may not be able to get to their level of success. You need to tweak the business model to suits you.

Even if you are running to technical problems.. there is always Fiverr to do it for you. Well, in the end, it is still better to experience it yourself.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Take a realistic route to achieve goals. List Building is one of the most pure and sustainable online business model. Learn it by free methods. A lot of good content is available in warriorforum as well. Get one good method, apply it and analyze your achievements. Avoid day-dreaming. Learn from your mistakes and then apply new method. In this process you will be able to create a good list of real targeted followers.

When you will get some sales then go for a coach who is well reputable. Always prefer a warrior who is in the industry and got good numbers of positive feedback.

If you are determined you will hit the goal.

    Regards!

I recommend coaching program of Anik Singal. I think it is affordable and easy to follow. Google it for more info. I like his idea of making single page websites to make money from clickbank or other marketplaces.

No-one is going to be able to coach you into making $5k+ per month. They might show you what others are doing and then let you get on with it. Risks, changing markets etc...

You think you can hand over $2k and make $60k+ per year? Dream on. Plenty will take your money from you and promise such bull.

The best coaching you'll ever get is a J-O-B doing
it for someone who's doing it.

If you want to make $5,000 per month, work for
    someone making $50,000 per month.

Coaching is great for people who have a basic
system in place that needs refining, or who are
already having some success but want to step
    up to the next level.

    Coaching is not for newbies.

Selling coaching to newbies is a great racket
because most people never show up and these
    guys know that.

4 out of 5 newbies who pay for a coaching
program don't schedule more than one
    appointment.

Go get a job with someone doing list building
and product creation, and work for little to
nothing if necessary. If you're not willing to
do that then you probably don't have a real
    passion for the work.

From what I've seen from Mr. Singal he's very good at marketing himself and his high cost programs, but I don't see the quality in his training that i do in other courses.

It's my estimate that he's pretty much just pricing out what it costs for his time rather than the raw information he's delivering. He has a very persuasive way of presenting basic ideas and making them seem extraordinary when in fact they're just basic marketing and business principles. That's how he sells his stuff so well.

Sort of beyond the point. No program you buy ever will force you to do anything.

Coaching programs are intended to give you specific direction in a 1-on-1 or group coaching format where specific questions can be directly answered by the dude/gal you paid your cash to.

I see that $2k...or $5k, whatever the investment is (doesn't matter, really) as a monetary exchange for the time that person is putting into you. Again, no one can force you to produce any sort of income, but they an guide you to do so helping you avoid the pitfalls (which so many on the WF complain about) as you go on about your way.

Generally speaking, though, your overall sentiment that coaching is bull is invalid. All coaching is bull?? Not quite buddy. I'll admit there's a lot of unscrupulous coaches out there parading as legit people, but they're not 100% of the market. They can't be.

I really just think you're confused about what it means to coach someone. Then again, you might just have a general bias against coaches. I don't know. But I have a feeling whatever you have against bad coaches is clouding your judgment against all coaches (fallacious generalization - therefore the invalid conclusion).

Most of them are crap. Let me save you some money.

    List Building 101:

    Step 1: Determine Your Niche

First you need to decide what niche you want to build a list in. There are only three you need to work with: Health, Wealth, and Relationships

Step 2: Setup Your Landing Pages

Once you have your niche it's time to setup a website or landing page that's going to start your funnel. If you don't know anything about creating a landing page, the guys at LeadPages.net have done a great job with their platform and can help you look like a pro (I would suggest using it on your own domain though to avoid looking like a n00b).

Your first landing page should ask the individual for their name and email. In return for this information you need to provide them with SOMETHING (a coupon, video, eBook, guide, etc.). You should split test at least four pages when getting started.

Consider a pre-lander: Consider adding a page BEFORE your landing page to warm up your traffic. The point of this page is to give a somewhat objective view to the reader to convince them that they need to click on the next screen and enter their information.

Split test direct linking to your landing page VS using a pre-lander

Step 3: Integrate Your Email Service Provider

If using lead pages or your own page you need to integrate with an email service provider that's going to allow you to design and send your emails. I recommend going with aWeber. They're a bit old school but they've never failed me. Just don't do any funny business (such as SPAMMING) or being a ding dong. They will ban you and if they do you prob deserved it.

Step 4: Write Your Email Series

Before you can start building your list you need to have material to send to the visitors. Once they opt-in you should give them something for free so they receive value for giving up some of their information. However, after the initial "gift" you want to write a series of emails that will leverage your marketing position and be able to pitch a product or service in return for a commission.

Here's how I like to do my "flow":

    * User Opts In
    * User Gets "Free Gift" After They Verify Their Email
    * After Verification I Send A Thank You Email Welcoming Them
    * Day 2 I Start My Follow Up Series

How To Write An Effective Followup Series

After your visitor turns into a confirmed optin (meaning they verified their email address) the climax is over. Good news though! You now have their trust.

So on Day 2 you want to start your Follow Up Series where you use basic communication skills to build them back up into whatever the next product or service you want to market.

In the Day 2 email you want to make the person see something in your writing that they can relate back to them self. DON'T PITCH for a couple more days. You want to continue to WOW, amaze, help, them on the series. Finally, once you've built enough hype (maybe day 5 or 7) pitch them another product or service.

Make sure you're not pitching crap either. Test whatever you're promoting out yourself first. Make sure they are operating with morales. If you don't trust the merchant with YOUR personal information, don't touch it.

After your pitch them you can follow up the next day with a coupon if they didn't purchase. Or you could simply offer them a bonus for purchasing. After that you can rinse and repeat the Follow Up Process.

The MORE value you add to the list and the MORE quality products / services you pitch to them, the longer you can keep it going.

    Step 5: Drive Traffic

The most important part is getting people to your landing page. Start in this order:

    * Start a Blog
    * Submit your blog to Google Webmaster Tools / add analytics
    * After 30 posts are up write a compelling Press Release and issue it with PRWeb.com
    * Make sure to build up and share across Facebook, LinkedIN, and Twitter.
    * Start buying search traffic from Google. Take your winning keywords to Bing.
    * Start buying display traffic from Facebook, Google.
    * Add Adroll Re-targeting and start a campaign there

Depending on how hard you work, you'll eventually get to $5K a month.

Hope I saved you from wasting your money!

I just realized I didn't even answer the OP...

This is largely going to be a big judgment call you yourself make. No one can make it for you.

Who you choose for coaching and how much it's worth to you are entirely things only you can decide for yourself.

I know a lot of people who have had great success from coaching, either in the personal or group format, for list building and creating their own products. Depending on the industry you want to break into and the manner in which you make that $5k monthly pretty much defines which coach you seek out.

The WF has a lot of coaches you teach IM/MMO, mainly because that's what the WF revolves around: online marketing and making money online.

If you want to develop expertise in another field, you're going to have to expand your gaze outside the forum. Many of the coaches and teachers I've connected with happened over facebook where I learned about their successes, did research on their history in their respective industries and connected with them to see how they could help me.

My latest coach helped me break into Kindle publishing. That's not really IM specifically as the WF knows it, but the general marketing ideas are evergreen and pretty much target any market since it's just a cycle of problem -> solution. In my case I like fiction so the people i connected with specialize in helping me write better and market myself better.

If it feels like I've diverged from answering the OP, I haven't.

I found a coach in my industry of choice who's guiding me to build my list of readers (buyers) who bought my product (my kindle ebooks) and i just write more and expand my efforts to make more $$.

It was a judgment call only I could make in deciphering whether or not the investment in drastically shortening my learning curve while learning kindle publishing would be worth it or not.

As an added note I spent months finding the right coach who could specifically help my particular needs. The same should apply to you IF you find after your own extensive research that coaching really is the right direction you should go.

It's a fools dream to think they could BUY coaching that would land them in a situation where they would receive $5k cheque's in the mail... just doesn't happen like that !

I would definitely start off by finding your niche and working on creating a plan... nobody is going to give it to you, you're going to have to work for it !

Hope this helps, good luck dude !

If you are looking for a good email marketing coach, I am going to recommend you someone I have a lot of respect for ( I am not affiliated with him in anyway).

His name is Terry Dean. He is one of the grandfathers of internet marketing/email marketing and his website is TerryDean.org. Make sure you join his list and buy what ever coaching he has. It will be all worth it for you.
