Your opinion on a new e-commerce startup

I want to share and hear your opinion on a new e-commerce platform I've developed, which intends to bring ad & affiliate earnings to every-day shoppers: https://legendeal.com

The idea, in short, is allowing sellers to easily offer affiliate bonuses and a share discount for any customer that would share their product, and thus potentially achieving a viral effect - with each customer bringing another...

I would love to hear your opinion as true professionals in the affiliate industry, as I for myself don't have a lot of experience in this area. What do you think?

You're breaking the rules/TOS with this post.

Is that supposed to go on a different forum or is it forbidden to link to your website altogether? I'm not trying to get you to buy anything nor do I earn any affiliate money personally if you do.

Forbidden to link to your website...as well as any other website you're affiliated with.

Look, I can't see any such broad statement in the rules. If I'm violating any rules I'm truly sorry, but I'll leave it to the administrators to decide.

Until then, the website I've linked to might actually (and hopefully) be beneficial to someone in this forum. I'd love to hear your opinion on the service itself as well...

Interesting concept. A couple thing to think about...

Social Share for the discount I like. Does the system provide a unique URL for every single user and associated product?

Need to curate your products carefully. A lot of stuff on there is kitschy stuff I personally would never want. To make the credits worthwhile, you want people to come back and buy again and again.

You might consider possibly dropshipping some higher end items that have enough margin to provide the discount. When you can show scale, it will be easier to attract higher end clients like some of the flash sale sites do.

Home Page - I am going to be harsh, you need to do something about the home page. My eyes are all over the place on your home page and it makes me want to close it instead of search more. It hurts my eyes. Curate your home page with something people would want to buy and an easy start.

Take that banner down about sellers and put that in the footer menu as "Sell On Our Site". Your home page should be customer focused only.

Curious if is pretty easy to develop sites like these in Django?

          Yes, indeed it does.

Well, easy is a relative term.. Django is a development framework, like ASP.net, PHP or Ruby-on-rails. You obviously need to know how to code in order to use it - I'm actually a professional software developer. But in any case - Django surely helps, it's a good framework...

Right now I'm trying to offer the service to as many sellers as possible. As time passes I gain more control and power to dictate which products are being offered.

About the rest of what you wrote - great feedback. Thank you - I'll think about it.

Website design is really bad. I recommend getting some professional freelancer. You can find allot of good designers here (not promoting) https://www.awesomeweb.com/

I really like that discount option, but there's way too much text.

Thank you for being honest. I'll think about your comments. BTW, in "way too much text" - do you mean the text about the discount, or text in the website in general..?
