pls i need advise on creating a news website and how to monetize it for maximum profit.i wants to create news website becos i suck in writing article

    most people on here will say learn how to do news articles learn how to write them also if you make a news site up its still the same you still have to do articles no matter what

      Where will you get your news from? How are you going to be "timely" in reporting the news?

      How are you going to compete for an audience with all the other thousands of online news sites?

      Personally, I think your best chance of success is if you focus on a specific market in which you are experienced.

      Good luck, this is a very difficult business model to monetize because the latest news is everywhere online for free!

    Practice your writing and spelling at every opportunity. For example, don't w rite "becos" when it should be "because." Always correct everything you write until it becomes second nature.

    Why would you want to start a news site if you suck at writing? I would think that would be the very last type of site you would consider. Successful news sites post some of the best writing at incredible volumes. Unless you have a lot of money to hire excellent writers to constantly provide content I would suggest you consider building a site that benefits from your strengths not suffers from your admitted weakness.

    Since someone may jump in and encourage you to just curate your material do not believe almost anything you read here in the WF about curation. Do your research from legitimate knowledgeable sources first. There are huge misunderstandings and myths about the legalities of curating content.

        Sorry, but no I will not. I am not a copyright attorney so you should not listen to me anyway. The reason for that part of my post was to discourage you from listening to ANYBODY here when it comes to curating. (No offense to those few here that actually know the laws.)

    I think what you're asking is creating a viral news site. Like Viralnova?

    look at what they do and copy, but differently.

    Perhaps use a wordpress scraping plugin to pull in their RSS feeds, and use the draft posts created to reword them , put in added value and a fresh photo.

    Check out Glen at Viperchill.com he went over this big time.

    I have Created a News website that got pr3 within first year and is earning me money

    I would suggest a few tips

    Get a wordpress website

    Start with atleast 5 minimum pages ( create another 5 over next 3 months) - while you updating with regular posts ( minimum at least 2 to 3 a week)

    Try to rank for less competitive words in the start based on your country niche

    Keep minimum plugins within wordpress ( google sitemaps. Seo plugin..akismet)

    Interlink between pages and posts

    Choose a Professional looking news WP theme( looks count , when you are a news website)

    Use a portal giving you template as Wordpress.

    Remember: the hardess thing is not create a site (there are plenty guide for free on the web, even on youtube).
    The hardest thing, that is the key of success. is to get targetted traffic without spending too much!!
