How do you upload videos to Amazon s3 server?

Hey guys, I feel really stupid for asking this, but how in the world do you upload videos to the Amazon s3 server? I've always just ran videos off our own servers, but am switching over to Amazon's to handle a higher amount of traffic. I've created an account with them here:
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3)

and then logged in, but have absolutely no idea what to do from there. Can anyone explain or even make a quick jing video to show me? Can't believe amazon makes it this difficult :-)

    I use FF S3 Add on and sometimes a desktop app (which I prefer) called Cloudberry CloudBerry S3 Explorer - Freeware Windows Client for Amazon S3. Either of them feels like just using a normal ftp program to me Both are good and they are both free.

    Ok, I installed it and added my details. After I save my account, I get this message:

    So far I have been using the S3 plugin for FF. It's very simple to use - even easier than a regular FTP program, however my uploading time is terribly slow. I am not sure if its the plugin or Amazon but I want to try something else to see if it is faster.

    Login to the AWS Management Console Here:
    https://console.aws.amazon.com/s3/home

    Then make sure that the "Amazon S3" tab is selected...

    On the left, you should see a window that says "Buckets"...

    You have to create a bucket to hold your files. So, create a Bucket.

    Then select a bucket and a menu bar will show up with "Upload" as one of the options...

    Now, just browse your computer for the files... and upload... Thats it.

          Yes - the firefox plugin or you can get Easy Video player and you load up through a panel on your host but it goes to your amazon account. EVP will give you the player to use and lots of other goodies.

    Someone mentioned it already in the post but here is the amazon plugin which makes life more slimplier via Firefox

    Glad you asked this Brad, I have a fair few videos on my sites and think I am going to swap over to Amazon soon for the storage.

    Personally,

    I use a site called eZs3.com - Making Media Easy by Unleashing the Power of Amazon S3 Hosting (no relation to me).. It's like $20 a month, but they give you an upload tool (which I seriously get amazing speeds of upload on), and they also give you video templates (like player designs)... As well, as tracking video views, and all this other stuff....

    Anyway, that's the only easy way I've ever had to upload things to S3, for video and pdf.

    Brad - there is a control panel within S3 that allows you to upload with your web browser. Look for the control panel just log into your S3 account.

    I had another problem. I uploaded a zipped file, an .exe file, and a pdf. When I tried to download them I couldn't do it.
    I uploaded using the suggested firefox plug in. When I actually went to the S3 console in my account I could see that there was a padlock icon for each file. You can right click on the file name in the bucket and select to make it public. Problem solved.

      I'm new to Amazon S3 -- installed it earlier today.

      I watched Steve's video above (part 1) & went to download the S3Fox Add On. After clicking "Accept & Install", going through the brief installation, and then clicking to restart FireFox, FF reopened with 2 tabs: 1 is the same "Accept & Install" page on 1 tab, and the other was an error page. Not sure what that's about. I tried it again -- this time I only got the "Accept & Install" page, not the error page/tab. But I certainly didn't get the page that Steve's video said I would automatically get.

      I'm stuck. Does anyone have any advice?

            I still would use my EVP software for easy upload and embedding.
