[QUOTE=rnjonjo;92387]"Chrome is just a gimmick to attract investors. It seemed to slow everything down. I'm told that a lot of Google apps act like spyware and it takes it's toll after a while. |

I believe it will be much better when Google removed 'beta'. I heard that it will support add-ons as well. So, with the strong core, I thinks it has an unfair advantage toward its competitors now. Just like Larry Page saids, "IE7 is not Chrome's competitor but IE8 might be". Just wait to see how Chrome perform. :-) Seree W. |

Think it's a waste of time to be honest. Some websites do not load properly. They have months of improvements to bring it up to the level of firefox. |

"One man's junk is another man's treasure!" I'm loving Chrome for a good number of reasons - the top two being the speed and flawless rendering of properly designed web pages. I don't yet use it as my primary browser, but suspect that day is soon coming. @Mike - I'm just busting your balls here, but if you've ever split-tested, tracked clicks or other visitor data, then would you consider your web sites acting as Spyware? In that respect, Google is no different from us - they just do this on a far larger scale. To be fair, and this goes back to the never ending browser wars, what you use as your personal browser is your choice. And if it meets your needs then you've made a great choice for yourself. However, with Google's reach, if you're overlooking it's potential as a marketer, you're making a serious mistake. You want to use it, if for no other reason than to test web sites and your sales process to ensure it will work for those visitors using Chrome. And that said, don't automatically assume if something is not working properly in Chrome that it's a bug. It may well be that the problem is in IE or FF or in the coding itself. |

I showed Chrome to a few people who have nothing to do with IM and they love the way it shows screenshots of the sites they have visited (me too). If you don't like buggy software, uninstall Windows right now ![]() Martin |

I'm with Mike here - yes, some sites don't render as expected in Chromes, but that's precisely why you DO want it installed so you can test! Personally I've had a copy open all week and in general I'm quite impressed with it. It's certainly faster than IE or FF at rendering, and it seems to have less memory issues than FF. I also love being able to type searches into the address bar - so intuitive. However, it doesn't seem to remember what you typed into forms properly, and after hitting the back button on some dynamic sites I find I have to resubmit a form which is a pain. Other than that I actually like it! Bill |

I'm on Chrome now BUT sometimes pages just don't work and I can't figure out why. I open them in FF and they work. Buggy, and a few minor tweaks needed, but it DOES seem a faster browser and I like the screenshot thingy too. |
