Hi Fellow Warriors, Wanted to get your opinions on how you would monetize this idea. I came across a blog that is an actual video series. These guys are 20 somethings and have spent a year now creating some hi-def episodes. They currently have them on a blog and there are a lot of them. I think they are looking for someone to pick up the series but I started to think of other ways they could monetize this as they claim to have a following. There are of course next to no backlinks to the site. I have a feeling what ever traffic they are getting is friends, family, or friends and family of the actors involved. Videos are hosted on Vimeo. I thought about this and the way I would try to monetize the situation might be putting limited clips on the free sites, point them back to the main site that would require a subscription to have access to watch the full episodes. What would you do? I emailed them to let them know some SEO might give them a boost in exposure, but would like to offer some other plans should I get a response back. So, if you had a video series, each one 20 minutes or longer of an ongoing saga of sorts and your only job was to help market it how would you do it? |
