How to Increase Conversions from 3rd World Country Traffic

Hey guys! I'm testing traffic from a 3rd world country. I'm selling them clickbank products but the conversion is not really good. I only got 3 conversions after sending about 1000 visitors to the offers. The other weird thing is I'm getting a lot of order form impressions but they end up NOT buying. Any idea how to increase the conversion from this kind of traffic? Is it hard to make conversion from this traffic simply because most people from 3rd world countries do not have credit cards? I would appreciate your insights. Thanks!

Drop the idea. People in the third world don't have the money to buy CB products priced for the Western world.

    Abort mission. Repeat. Abort!

I have sites getting traffic from Pakistan, India, Indonesia etc ( like around 100k per day may be ).
And believe me, I havent ever made more than 20 - 30$ so far selling CB products on those sites. Simply, they wont convert well.

Truth being said, apart from CB, I have made good cash from adsense ( Just telling ).

On the basis that you can't sell anything unless the person
    has

    1. The need

    2. The Authority

    3. The MONEY

Any one of those three missing = no sale

Look for other ways as mentioned above.

    lol at abort mission.

Master the art of selling and you can sell anything to anyone.

    Always take note of this:

    1. Give them what they want and you'll get what they want
    2. WIIFM (What's in it for me)

I sell $1000 to $2000 services to people in third world countries. It is possible.

Seriously, you're trying to sell info products to 3rd world countries!? I need you to really think about what you just said and really think about it. Log off, sit in a dark room, and really ponder on it...really think about it.

I remember seeing a case study back in the day where a company made a lot of $ selling to third world countries.

They broke down their product offerings into smaller (more affordable) offerings. For example, if you sell shampoo sell the travel size instead of a big bottle.

They sold direct to consumers though - meaning they shipped product over there and had someone actually sell to consumers for cash mostly.

I'm not sure if any of this pertains to your products, but it might be an idea if you want to go this route.

Everyone here who has already replied has hit the nail on the head so to speak. 3rd world traffic is not good for conversions, because individuals in these countries don't have money to spend. The only way to that i can see 3rd world traffic converting is if you find a CPA offer, a free one, specifically meant for people in that country. Otherwise, don't waste your time trying to make bad traffic convert, just because it's cheaper.

    It's all about filtering.

There are SOME high income people in that mix.

You just have to filter your traffic carefully.

I'm actually selling them what they need. I'm offering them "work from home" products from Clickbank. I now have $90.00 (4 sales) after spending about $30.00 on cheap clicks. Too bad Facebook has already rejected my advertising account because of promoting online jobs. Hahaha! But it's good to know that the traffic from the 3rd world country also converts. Does the US traffic tend to have a lot of order form server calls (people who clicked on the buy button and about to enter payment details) as well but about 5% to 10% only converts to sales? This is the case for me. It seems like the people actually wanted to buy, but they can't complete the payment maybe because they don't have either paypal or a credit card.

  • I would not sell them US based "work from home" type programs from Clickbank. I would sell them language-learning and translator type products/services to third-world countries.

You might want to promote CB products that involve IMMIGRATION or WORK IN DUBAI.

Canada immigration or US immigration guides might get quite a bit of attention... Depending on your traffic blend.

What countries are you getting traffic from?

What network marketing companies are having success in those countries?

There are several network marketing companies in the Philippines that seem very honest and have great potential, as an example.

You could join one of those companies and use your marketing efforts to recruit.

Its not about money to spend. I would rather say " They don't have extra money to spend on bullshit products". Focus on adsense, the conversions will skyrocket.

I have worked with a maps website and the traffic converts real crazy for adsense.

    Greetings,

Unfortunately, there is little hope in making any thirdworld marketing work to your required satistaction for the very reasons you mention and the results of 3 conversions for 1000 visitors, this is about typical from my experience.

As best, you have to promote a free service which will save them money, so lure them into a registration with a free business opportunity, international one obviously, and then you long term conversions will increase dramatically is what I have found. Most in countries which there is a low credit card population will not bite easily on just about everything.

It all depends on what your are promoting, you have to focus on either free offers or low cost which are money saving, and you will find that if a person is hooked on the free offer, and then are introduced to a real money saving service which they all are already using, then you have the long term conversion we all look for from our initial marketing efforts. Very few bite immediately in third world markets, never mine first world markets.

As to credit card issues, agreed, this is a problem for most in third world markets. If the value is there, then they will get a pre-paid debit card which are available everywhere. Using secondary payment portals is another option, but these are not easy to open any longer without connecting it to a credit card or bank account, so the markets are shifting and soon, pre-paid debit cards will be only option for millions.

    Success to all,
